We were picked up from the very far out of town East Bus Station. It's very close to the old town, and it was very clean and comfortable. We got a very warm welcome when we arrived.

The hostel was very nice and homey. Also very clean. Right near the old town, an easy 5 minute walk away, in a residential neighbourhood. A bit hard to find, though, so I would recommend getting picked up! The breakfast was great, definitely good value for money!

Great location just over the river from the old town, handy shop nearby with fruit; very nice family who picked us up for free from the train station; and took us there for a small fee when we left. Clean and very spacious room with views of the city. Great place if you are ready for some quiet time.

this was the nicest hostel I've stayed in - private rooms are amazing - more like a hotel than a hostel!

Really hepfull owners; five minutes walking to the river and centre. Parking place inside the house.

Great space. TV, a little porch, a kitchen, private bathroom (even if it's outside the room). Breakfast was extra, but delicious and plentiful. Folks running the place were really nice and both of their teenage kids speak English very well. The hostel is south of the old town across the river. We arrived late at night by taxi and the hostel is actually in back of a car repair shop. An interesting experience. But don't let that put you off. The place is very safe (Romanian ambassador lives next door) and the other entrance is 5 minutes from the old town.

Selma and her family are very kind and nice. The guest house is beautiful, and the rooms are big with wide and clean bathroom . We recommend this place.

Excellently located (just across the street from the Sarajevo brewery marked on Lonely Planet maps), really friendly and helpful owners who collected us for free from the bus station and the views from the balcony were incredible. The room was also very clean and safe.

Nice room, staff were there if we needed them but not too precious. Would be excellent for female travellers.

This family run guest house makes one feel so at home. Nothing is too much trouble. You feel like a member of their family.

The family who run this guesthouse are simply lovely and will go out of their way to help you. The father of the house woke up at 6am to drive us to the bus station in the snow! Nice room, the small kitchen could use some more utensils but it was lovely.

Double room was as good as a hotel room. Sitting room, ensuite, wardrobe, etc. The family was very friendly, helpful and generous - Bosnian coffee and cake on arrival! Great brekky as well. Short stroll to the old town. Fantastic value!!

Guest House Rose is absolutely delightful, as long as you are not looking for sophistication. We had a wonderful view of the old city from our balcony, and were within easy walking distance of the main sights. Our hosts were charming and helpful; the son and daughter have good English, and fetched us from the station when we arrived. Their German-speaking father got up early to take us to the bus station when we left - they also lent us an umbrella!

GREAT LOCATION

Despite the early morning arrival, the owners were expecting us and had a room ready for us to sleep in straight away. The family running it are very helpful.

Lovely little apartment up a hill, a short walk from the river. The owners were very friendly and drove us to the bus station, and even took out and dried our washing for us! (we didn't ask them to!). Spoke very little English but their 2 children spoke amazing English and did the translating for us. Whole place was very clean and quiet, apartment was a good size and had a spotlessly clean bathroom with soap and washing machine.

Guesthouse Rose was a suprisingly good place to stay - not the easiest to find and you had to go through some (brightly coloured) garages to get to the house, but once there the room was very clean, spacious, with a balcony overlooking the city and had a back entrance that was two minutes from the city centre. Definitely recommended.

This is a family run guesthouse, and I can't praise the family enough. They are friendly & very helpful. We were picked up from the bus station when we arrived, and they even helped us to book a walking tour around Sarajevo. The guesthouse is only about a 10min walk uphill from the main square, and the rooms are large & the beds comfortable. One room even had a small kitchen in it. Best of all, we were offered breakfast for €3pp which was a veritable feast of delicious food - eggs (omelette one morning & boiled the next) cold meat, cheese, breadrolls, fruit & fresh turkish style coffee or fruit tea. Delicious!

Family is lovely and warm. Airport pickup was very nice feature. Room was cute and the loaction was very convenient to the center. Not a party hostel, but a family guesthouse, good for a quiet nights sleep and some Bonsian hospitality. Breakfast was delicious.
