Liked: The girl who helped her parents run the house spoke good English and was really helpful and friendly. The view from the balcony was fantastic,looking out over the city. The room was clean and a great place to relax. They also had a lot of brochures and tourist information which was helpful. It was such a nice place to stay and so close to the city.

Liked: Samir and Selma who are the owners of the place, have helped us a lot. They are very kind people. The place is clean and safe and close to "Stari Grad" (Old City)- 10 minutes by foot. But after we've been there, we realized that there are much cheaper places to stay in Stari Grad. Other than that I recommend this place.

Liked: Location right next to the old town (5-10mins walk) and and once your there it takes another 10mins to get to the center. The rooms are very good and clean. You really get value for your money here and the hospitality are also very good. Nice view over the Sarajevo town, and you'll get the most amazing breakfast ever, if you pay a few extra Euro's (ca. 3-4). I highly recommend that!! It can be a bit of a walk back to the place with some stairs and a bit uphill, so if your are very lazy/bad shape or just physical disabled it could cause you problems. Me my self did not even see it as a challenge, caused me no problems.

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff. Pickup from train station not a problem at all. Even at 6:30 am! Tea and biscuits on arrival. Excellent breakfast. Nice spacious room. Nice bathroom. Only 5 minute walk to the centre. Definately recommended.

Liked: we had a room with balkony - perfect view over the city. So beautiful! The bathroom couldn't be any better, very nice and clean. In no time you're in the city center...simply a perfect place to stay :)!

Liked: Two couples stayed at Guest House Rose. We arrived after 8pm on the train from Mostar and a phone call resulted in us being collected at the station and driven to our accommodation. At first glance the two rooms were simply furnished but clean and economical. On arriving we were provided with great Turkish coffee and home made cake - what a treat. We chose to have breakfast, elected a time to suit us and for just a few euros we had another treat - coffee, yoghurt and fruit, cheese salami and bread rolls...and much much more...even more cake! This set us up for the day. A short 10 minute, at most, walk to the old town entering near the famous Franz Ferdinand bridge. It was easy to walk to and from the guest house for tourist activities and evening meals at local restaurants - a very quiet and safe feel to the whole area. We had to catch a very early train and yet agin we were provided with transport. Although the rooms are basic, but with an ensuite bathroom I would not hesitate to recommend this to all. It is an excellent family run guest house where they really make you feel welcome. Lynne Australia

Liked: Coffee and Turkish Delight on arrival...got picked up from the train statin for free!Super clean rooms and bathrooms and really friendly family who run the place. Really close (5mins walk) into old town from Hostel. Had a lovely time in Sarajevo :)

Liked: It is a great place to stay (unless you look for party places)!!!! It felt like coming home!! A welcome with pie and drinks and a lovely famliy who runs the place. For the breakfast you will need a big apetite, because it is soooo good! The brewery close to the hostel serves good food en beer!! We will stay here again when we go back to Sarajevo!!

Liked: We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay at this place again. We we're picked up from the bus station with a very short notice and girl speaks excellent english.We had an amazing view over Sarajevo. Everything worked and was clean. Location is not in the centre old town but 5 minute descent away (i checked) and the positive side is that it's very quiet at night. Close to the legendary Sarajevska beer factory.

Liked: Loved the cake they served us when we arrived. Breakfast was really good too. The room was really clean and comfortable with a nice view of the city. Very close to the historic center. It's quiet, but for us that was good.

Liked: It is centrally located but the place is in a quiet neighbourhood with no other GHs or hotels nearby so you feel like a local and meet locals easily. Also, as almost everybody says the restaurant of the Sarajevan brewery is a cool place to hang out. Try the dark beer and make sure you ask for the less salty variety of almost any of the dish you order -- they do love their salt. Great if a sad city.
