Liked: The hostel was so welcoming and comfortable! The pickup from the bus station made me feel like I was going to a friend's place. Majda basically took care of me while I was sick... made me soup, got me medicine etc. The breakfast each morning was delicious!! Also, Bata's tour was the craziest thing I have done in a long time... soo fun! thank you majda!!

Liked: Very friendly and they make you feel part of the family. It is also very clean. My favorite part was breakfast that was different every morning. I got sick there and they were really helpful by going to the pharmacy for me and making yummy soup.
Disliked: Only two showers.

Liked: We stayed in a few hostels on our trip, but this was by far the best. Majda makes you feel extremely welcome, and creates a very enjoyable atmosphere for all. The free breakfast provided was great and soup when we arrived back tired after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommended, if you’re passing through Mostar don’t even consider staying anywhere else. Bata's tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip of the Balkans!

Liked: This is a truly special place... I was picked up from the station, shown around Mostar, given delicious soup, given maps, told about the history of Mostar, and immediately felt so welcome... the next day I went on Batas tour which is amazing!!! he is such a great guy and really funny, and the whole day was really exciting and interesting, I never wanted it to end! At the hostel, I felt so at home, Madja is absolutely lovely and one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met! As i have travelled through Europe everyone I have spoken to about Mostar has said how great this hostel is, and it really is. You are treated like a friend, and it makes your trip to Mostar even better. It was certainly the best and most welcoming hostel I have ever been to, I had such a great time there and cant wait to go back! Thanks for everything!!

Liked: I liked everything about this hostel! I am a nerd, so I'm going to outline all the things I like about this hostel. 8) Staff... Majda and staff are so friendly and helpful. Majda picked me up from the bus station and then welcomed me into the hostel with warm food and a great intro to Mostar. Bata is hilarious and you should do his tours!! He is amazing and his energy is infectious and energizing. When I arrived, I was offered tasty home made snacks. I also appreciated how the staff anticipated traveler transportation needs and had bus and train schedules posted for us. They also then booked taxis for early departures. Facilities, cleanliness and location... It is 5 to 10 minutes from old town and the staff orient you to the city. I did get a little lost at night but it was only because I took the wrong turn, but this is my fault. Hehe! The hostel itself is amazing. It is warm and always clean. When I walked into the hostel, I could tell it was a well loved hostel. Should you visit, you will see what Im talking about. Safe and secure... Majda has a little cupboard that allowed me to lock a few documents away. It was really handy and useful. Value for money... Completely worth it. Between the arrival pick ups, snacks and amazing staff, it was worth every dollar. 8) (If you read through this point for point breakdown review, you are awesome.)

Liked: The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, starting with a free pickup from the train station. Myself and many other guests were provided with generous portions of a cooked breakfast on arrival, not just a bowl of cereal on the morning after our stay. Moreover, 3 out of 4 days that I stayed, guests who were around the hostel after 6pm were treated (at no additional cost) to a delicious bowl of soup. Each day of my stay, the staff made sure I had something interesting to do either in Mostar or the immediately surrounding area. The hostel was located very centrally, making it great not just for seeing the old town, but also the newer areas of Mostar. Also, right next to a cathedral with a really tall steeple, once you knew where it was, you could easily find your way back to it. Not least, the relatively small space and the staff proactively encouraged socialization between guests.
Disliked: Perhaps it is symptomatic of the region, but again I had to take my boots off immediately upon entering. Not only wasn't there a good place to store my boots, but if I didn't do it for myself, the staff would hide them in a cupboard where they wouldn't breath properly, causing them to smell incredibly horrendous later on. (At least there was a couch I could sit on while I removed my boots though). While the location of the hostel was great, it can be very difficult to find the first and second time you look for it since the location is residential and therefore not on most tourist maps and it is located in nondescript communist block housing. Also, since this is a residential area, we had to be a bit too quiet in the evening and while guests can come and go all night, after midnight if they are at the hostel, they are only allowed to sleep. They offered an incredibly popular tour led by a very charismatic man, however while it may have been reasonably priced and provided good value to someone earning wages in Western Civilization, as someone who is earning wages in Budapest, I felt it cost too much to comfortably fit into my travel budget, so instead of taking the tour, I had to repeatedly hear from everyone else about how awesome it was.

Liked: This is, by far, the BEST hostel i have stayed at! We were picked up from the bus station, and on arrival at the hostel, given drinks and cake :) We were also given delicious soup for dinner and awesum breakfasts! Majda was so friendly, this place is home away from home! And Bata's tour was crazy :) I intended to stay 2 nights, but loved it so much that i extended :) When i return to Mostar, i will definitely be staying back here!!!

Liked: Wonderful place to stay, it's like being at home, but better. Majda, Bata and the staff work very hard to make sure you have a comfortable stay in their apartment. Thanks a lot for the snacks, especially Admir's soup is the best ;-) Bata's tour is a must! Crazy but very informative.

Liked: staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. they gave us lots of local food and drink to try, and good info on mostar. the hostel itself is very cosy and sociable. the pickup and drop off service is great.
Disliked: when first arriving it is quite hard to find, so it is really worth making the most of the free pickup service. i came to relax so it suited me perfectly, but some people may find the rules i.e removing shoes and quite time by 11.30 quite hard to take. dont come here if you want to party.

Liked: Majda is very friendly and welcoming, the staff will go out their way to help you plan what to see in Mostar and your travel plans. Great hostel to meet people as there are only a few rooms. Welcome drink and cake on arrival and breakfast in the mornings. Would highly recommend. I didn't have time to go on "Bata's tour" but have heard nothing but good things about it.
Disliked: Bit further out than most hostels but not a huge issue. Only 2 bathrooms/showers so there can be a bit of a queue at times.

Liked: It was a homely feel, good for travellers who's been on the road for a long while and missing a bit of motherly affection - good breakfast
Disliked: as above, if you're not for the motherly, homely feel, this is probably not quite the place for you. it's also quite far from the bus station in a residential area, but there is a pickup service.

Liked: Majda is a really lovely lady who really makes you feel as though she is just inviting you into her own home, which she is! It is a cute quirky place where you design your own nameplate to stick on your door. Majda welcomes you with cool drinks and cake and a great description of things to do in the beautiful town of Mostar.
Disliked: It is quite cramped, with about 18 beds in a fairly average sized apartment. We sometimes felt like we were tripping over people. The balcony is closed off with hanging blankets but people are still allowed to smoke in there and the smell comes back into the house and we had our freshly washed clothes hanging out there!

Liked: Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast made by Majda, lovely balcony and cozy small common rooms, free bus station pick-up and drop-off, comfy bed, free wifi. Absolutely brilliant little hostel. Air-co in the room.
Disliked: The lower bed in the dorm was quite low so sitting on the bed wasn't possible. A bit far from the bus station, but with free pick up it's not too bad and walk to the old town isn't too bad. Common rooms were a bit small.

Liked: Perfect in every single way. Majda and her crew are so welcoming and incredibly hospitable, making you feel totally at home. The hostel is comfortable and easy to meet other travellers. All the staff go out of their way to help you get to and from Mostar, sort out accomodation for your next destination etc. The free shuttles to and from bus/train station makes life that little bit easier. Breakfasts were delicious and tea and coffee plentiful.
