been on the road for four months and I must say, this is the best hostel i stayed in so far. it's should be called majda's home cos that's exactly wat it is. even though I stayed only for two nights, majda made me feel so at home. Doing a tour with her is great cos she shows you all the great places for pictures. definitely stay here if you go to Mostar!

Absolutely loved my time at the hostel & was sad to leave. Majda was so welcoming, as was her mother. Every good thing I had heard about the hostel was lived up to. Bata´s tours are not to be missed, he's entertaining but informative too. If you like to feel at home when you go to a hostel then this is the one to choose.

Owners are so thoughtful and fun - picking us up at the station, offering tea/coffee/cake on arrival, explaining what to do and where to go in Mostar, and helping with onward travel arrangements. The optional day trip offered is fantastic and should not be missed!

This hostel was so homely and incorporated Bosnian values which made for a safe, warm and comfortable feeling throughout my stay. Majdas and Bata did everything to ensure you experienced the best of Mostar and the surrounding areas. They, and everyone else there, were so kind and generous. They really treated you as if you were a family friend coming to stay. Majdas showed she tries very hard to understand the experiences backpackers go through and she makes every effort to ease the strains of this. The tour from Bata was amazing, a great day and an opportunity to make a close bond with your fellow backpackers at the hostel. Bata is very passionate about Bosnia and the recent events there. He also makes sure you have lots of fun, a great guy. This hostel is a must.

The family is fantastic. They are warm, friendly, and always giving you an inside look at the history of Mostar and the war. Bata and Majda are fab!

Majdas rooms is miles above any hostel I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at a lot). They teach you their traditions and answer the really tough questions about Bosnia Herzigovina that many are unwilling to answer. I was planning on staying 1 night but I've stayed 3 so far. Cannot fully describe how wonderful this place is. Other hostels have a lot to live up to.

The tour is every other day, so we missed it, but heard it was good - probably best to check first if you're interested in the tour. Clean, close to the town center, internet (wifi too), friendly.

Everything was amazing. I've stayed in lots of hostels but this was the best by far. Greeted by Mama (grandma) offering us tea, coffee, juice, cake. The the tour which was amazing and so interesting taking us to places we'd never been able to go without a private car and local guide. The people we were staying with too were so friendly. Worth a holiday in itself!

This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It was like going to your grandmother's house to stay, a cosy / friendly place to meet other people, and with the amazing Majda coming to pick you up (free) from the station.
Then you had the trip run by Bata, which was worth more than months of reading up on the history, politics, etc of the area.
GO THERE.

Outstanding friendly hostel. Was picked up from the station, given a cup of tea some soup and a tiramisu within the first half hour! Madja is a great host and the tour by her brother Bata is highly recommended. The best hostel I have ever stayed in!

I couldn't fault Majdas Rooms in any way. The entire Majdas 'family' were incredibly hospitable. Bata's personal tour around Mostar (which he runs each day) was an amazing education and great fun. The hostel was safe and clean and in a good location, and we were made to feel very welcome. Coffee and tea upon arrival were fantastic. If I were to return to Mostar, I would certainly stay with these guys again.

This is the most amazing hostel i have ever stayed at. The people are what make the hostel. They are the nicest, friendliest and caring hosts i have had so far. No ask was to great and they will always go out of their way to make sure that you are enjoying yourself. I came down with food poisoning and they nursed me back to health, like i was there own son. Thank you Mama and Majda. If you go to this hostel, you must take the tour. It is the best tour you will likely go on in Europe. Bata is a passionate and well informed guide. It does go for about 14 hours but you will not regret one second. Make sure you stay for a few days as Mostar is an exciting and fascinating city.

Majdas is such a great place and the tour her brother does is amazing, definitely do it, it is just such an intimate and welcoming place to stay. I loved it.
When the match between turkey and Croatia was on Majdas didn't want my girlfriend to go into town for food so instead she cooked her some really tasty eggs. Majdas really considerate to all her guests which makes her hostel even more special.
