Liked: good lacation, possible to book buses ands mines tour, wifi worked sometimes and english specking staff in the morning.

Disliked: showers where dirty most the time. but cheap so dont expect to much.

Liked: The mine tour, how cheap it was, the location, and the building itself is gorgeous.

Disliked: The bathrooms were a lot to be desired- everytime you took a shower water would get everywhere and wouldn´t drain so everytime you used the toilet you were stepping in water all day and night long. Plus there just weren´t enough bathrooms for the number of people in the hostel. Also they didnt seemed to be cleaned well and smelled like pee. Also the hostel itself didn´t seem to be cleaned well at all and i think the building could be taken care of better. The staff werent the most helpful or friendly, but gave enough info- they wouldn´t go out of their way at all to help say to call a taxi but would tell you were to get one.

Liked: no redeeming qualities

Disliked: Incredibly ignorant and unhelpful staff, disgustingly dirty toilets and showers, kitchen equipped with padlocks on all cupbords, pre colonial cooking equipment if you were allowed to use it, Internet regularily 'turned off', bedroom and bed sheets smelled of urine, worst hostal of my travelling career, no contest!!

Liked: Big Hostel but all in all clean and very friendly.

Disliked: Kitchen was well equipped with pots but only a few forks and knives....better to bring your own ;)

Liked: Good mine tour

Disliked: one o the worst hostels in S:A. our room was unfinsihed, it had plaster hanging off the walls and smelled of wet cement. The reception closes at 10.30 so there is no option to chill der in the night because the tv and internet are both in reception.

Liked: The building is nice.

Disliked: The staff was no doubt the ruddest and unhelpful I ´ve ever come across. First of all when we got there (after midnight but we had let them know) the hostel was closed and it took us a while ringing the bell before the guy opened it for us. Second, we had booked a double room and they gave us a ten people dormitory without any sort of apology or explanation. Third, there was a drunk guy in our dormitory who got sick all over the room and there was no way the guy in reception would do anything to sort it out. Forth, they charged us the total price of the room without deducting the 10% deposit we had paid when booking through hostelbookers. It is definitely a do not go there. Very unfriendly staff

Liked: It was very convenient to the town square where you can find resteraunts and tour companies. Onle do the Silver Mine Tour with Koala Tours. They are excellent with guides who speak perfect English and are very informative as they are all ex-miners

Liked: They staff don't really want to be there or help with anything. The breakfast is so awful, we didn't bother with it the second day - we got mouldy old stale breadrolls with jam.The toilets were constantly blocked, and there was no toilet paper or soap. When we left some soap in our next door loo, the staff stole it when they cleaned up.They locked everything up with padlocks in the kitchen - all the plates, cutlery etc, so you couldn't steal it. You could only cook when the staff were bothered to come open it up for you.And the bookswap service costs 5 bolivianos per book.The only good thing was the constant hot water, and the location was ok.

Liked: The staff were less than friendly, the shower broke, the staff forgot to book our bus and so we had to get a long distnce taxi and services and drinks claimed to be offered were, in reality, not offered. The surroundings and hostel were lovely but the staff really let it down.

Liked: The hostel was fine. There seemed to be too few toilets for the number of rooms and on one occasion three of the four toilets were out of order - the flush was not working in two and the bulb seemed to have gone on the other - but this seemed to be rectified pretty quickly. The atmosphere is not great but the location is very convenient.

Liked: nice simple rooms with heating. Good hot showers and good location. All the lights turned off at 10pm so unless u have a flash light u wont see a thing. No fun allowed here. No bar or drinks, they charge for everything like book exchange and to watch dvd.And staff are rude.
