Next to the Hotel you will find the largest marketplace of La Paz: the popular Mercado Rodriguez. Here you will find a wide range of food, flowers and much more…the marketplace is also a great attraction for tourists. Here you will be able to see all the different typical food of La Paz.
For the enthusiasts in handicrafts, two corners away from the hotel guests will be able to find hundreds of shops and handicraft centers with exquisite antiques, music instruments and dresses made of Alpaca or Vicuña.
Next to this street of handicrafts you will see the 'Mercado de Brujas' (Marketplace of the witches), where you can find lots of remedies and elements used by the rituals of the people of the Andes.
The San Francisco church and the square (only three blocks away from the hotel) are the center-points for most tourists. Here tourists can dive into the social life of the Bolivians and enjoy the national dishes offered by the nearby restaurants. Travelers can also find the 'Peña'- (shows,) in this area. You will be able to enjoy the typical music and dances of Bolivia every night.
Next to the square, you will find the main street of La Paz where you will find the public administration buildings, banks and theatres.
