The Adventure Brew Hostel (and Brew Hostel Too) was created to give you, the adventure traveller, a friendly and fun base from which to plan your explorations of Bolivia, take a break from your travels, meet other travellers, or just to recharge your batteries before heading out for further adventures.
The Adventure Brew Hostel, under New Zealand and Bolivian management, aims to provide just about everything an adventure travellers could want from a hostel … and so we put the world’s highest microbrewery inside our hostel!!! What more could you want – cold, tasty Soya beer brewed onsite!!! It’s a no-brainer!!!
Funnily enough, the combination of a great hostel, a brewery, FREE BEER, and an awesome roof top bar and BBQ quickly resulted in The Adventure Brew Hostel becoming the most popular hostel in La Paz. In response to this overwhelming popularity (and the fact that in the past this has meant we were often full) on Jan. 1, 2007, we opened the first phase of The Adventure Brew Hostel expansion: The Adventure Brew Too. Lovingly renovated from a grand 1880’s residence, this expansion to the main hostel is less than 180 meters down the road from the main hostel building (The Hostel).
The prices of the rooms in boliviano per person are: Double room en-suite 96Bs. Twin room en-suite 96Bs. Triple room en-suite 84Bs. 8 bed dorm en-suite 72Bs. 8 bed dorm, shared bathroom 60Bs. 12 bed dorm, shared bathroom 55Bs.
THE PRICES IN BOLIVIANOS ARE FIXED. THE PRICES IN US DOLLARS ARE UPDATED ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL EXCHANGE RATE ON MONTHLY BASIS. OTHER CURRENCIES PROVIDED IN HOSTELBOOKERS MAY CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL EXCHANGE RATE, AS THEY AREN'T PROVIDED BY THE ADVENTURE BREW HOSTEL. The Hostel and The Brew Too feature: * All guests, whether staying in The Hostel or The Brew Too buildings, are entitled to full access to all the features, facilities and freebies available in both buildings * A wide range of rooms including private singles, private doubles, and dorms (3 to 8 to 12 beds). Rooms in The Brew Too are all mixed-dorms * CHECK OUT TIME IS AT 1.00pm. * Our own Microbrewery: Soya beer is brewed on the ground floor of the Hostel! * Sunny rooftop terrace on top of The Hostel, with a bar, BBQ and great views! * Sunny back garden terraces, hammocks, a HOT TUB JACUZZI, BBQ and breakfast area in The Brew Too * Every Thursday there’s a party in The Brew Too back garden (YES – garden! Can you imagine a garden in downtown La Paz??!!) * Both buildings are centrally located, and less than a 5-minute walk from the main bus terminal, TAM airline office, Plaza San Francisco, and only a few minutes from the main souvenir shopping areas and several of the best museums. NOTE: Please check-in at The Hostel, not The Brew Too, to receive your bed allocation * Easily accessed from the airport and other bus terminals. REMEMBER: Please check-in at The Hostel, not The Brew Too * We can arrange reliable airport pickups (from US$7), as well as good-quality taxis to a variety of destinations * Pop up to The Hostel rooftop terrace for your FREE BEER every night that you stay! NOTE: We close the rooftop bar and BBQ terrace in The Main Hostel around midnight to keep the noise down for other guests. Our staff can recommend the best of La Paz’s bars and clubs, and on some nights we can arrange a guided group bar crawl. The back garden and covered terrace in The Brew Too are open all hours. The wood-fired backyard Jacuzzi can also be used. It can be used anytime, just make an appointment at the reception. The Hostel and The Brew Too have no curfew and no lockout, so you can party 'til you drop and know you can get back in to your room whatever the hour!
The Adventure Brew Hostel welcomes you to enjoy our facilities and make new friends in a safe, fun, clean environment. With the addition of our second location, The Brew Too, with lots more beds and social areas, we hope not to run out of space so often! That said, we still highly recommend booking as far in advance as you can. At check-in make sure to ask about rooms in both The Hostel and The Brew Too. We encourage you to stop by and stay the night, and offer any feedback or ideas you may have. We'll bend over backwards to ensure that your stay with us is unforgettable. The Adventure Brew Hostel is not the cheapest hostel in La Paz (but it’s also not that much more expensive); it’s for people who are looking for much MORE than just a bed in a crowded, dank room.
