Brilliant building with lots of character. Clean hot showers, simple authentic decoration, helpful staff, great location. The quiet monastic atmosphere might not be for everyone, but it's great if you want to relax and get out of the loop for a few days.

I liked the friendly staff who were willing to help me, the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the smell of the kitchen! I'll be back to sample the dinner menu!

I really liked this hostel- I came on a work visit and found it very tranquil and peaceful and I was able to sleep well. The room was big and, while very simply furnished, was very comfortable (I really liked the neo-gothic windows). I also enjoyed eating breakfast in the outdoor patio which is also a nice sight from the indoor breakfast area. A good value for budget travelers like me who need a quiet and centrally-located place to sleep.

It was fantastic. Friendly staff, clean and well positioned. More a hotel than a hostel so it was not really geared towards meeting people and partying. This did not concern me. The solution was to get out of the hotel and into the bars to meet the wonderful people of ghent.

This hotel was unreal. it felt so old and full of history but was very modern in the rooms. I simply loved this hotel and staff were young and great to talk to. will not be dissapointed

Very quiet. It has a lot of history, and the building is an awesome testament to the local architectural preservation.
