Liked: it was a really nice hostel especially given the affordable price. it had really good character and the rooms were nice. beds were great, and they even had curtains to close yourself off from the rest of the room. they had lockers for bags.

Disliked: no internets in the room, but you can stay in the pub/restaurant/reception if you need to research on sites or anything. also, location is good since bruge is pretty small. it's easy to walk to the city center, but if you're rushing to the train station, it's on the opposite side of the city which means you need to take the bus.

Liked: this place was pretty awesome. you get a discount at the bar if you're a guest. they have a decent range of belgian beer at said bar. the centre of town is walking distance. the staff i dealt with were all very friendly and helpful. VERY clean. in fact one of the cleanest hostel bathrooms i've seen.

Disliked: nothing really. maybe 17 Euros is a little bit more than a 12 bed share is worth. but i really have nothing to complain about.

Liked: Good staff, nice bar and restaurant, in a nice area with some good bars and only a short walk to the centre.The private room was comfy and the showers/toilets were very clean. I would stay here again for sure.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: The room itself was great but I think I was only lucky I ended there. It was an actual 8 bed - flat with facilities like a couch, your own fridge and kitchen so it turned out to be great value for money.

Disliked: The hostel common areas are very small, so if you happen to be in other rooms there is no kitchen, and the lounge and reception are very small and easily crowded when a group comes. On top of that someone got her backpack stolen from the luggage room as many people left their backpacks outside the lockers and the access to the room from the street was very easy through a rear door. Oh and finally the restaurant offers very expensive and small meals (no kitchen, remember) but you do get 3 beer samples for free.

Liked: it was in a pretty good location.

Disliked: the wifi didnt work except in the lobby, the staff were pretty rude, the room we were in was two floors above the bar at so it was noisy at night, the food at the restaurant was not good at all, and the showers were disgusting the worst we have ever seen!

Liked: The bar is a great way to meet other travellers, staff were helpful with information. Breakfast selection was great!

Disliked: The location could be more central, but Bruges is a fairly small city anyway

Disliked: It is really dirty People puking all over the bathrooms and its not cleaned properly A sign says the bathrooms are cleaned ,4 times a day...i didnt see a cleaner once Place is ok to stay in though...just be aware that its not the cleanest!

Disliked: Lockers cannot be locked and no cost-free alternatives! Luggage room does cost money! Dirty bathrooms - broken toilets - not as announced (we clean 4 times a day) never ever it could be so dirty in the toilets than....

Liked: This is the best hostel I have been to in a very long time. They level of hospitality I experienced was above and beyond, especially from the outgoing receptionists. The hostel is clean, the rooms spacious, and there are free tours and pub crawls that run almost every night. And it's cheap. I would recommend this hostel to anyone at all. Bauhaus has a passion for Bruges and a passion for people.

Disliked: That I had to leave, the dream is over.

Liked: Everything. For me, this is the perfect hostel. The atmosphere is electric, the staff are casual and friendly, the hostel offers numerous activities, the bar is cosy with a wide range of beers on offer, you get to mingle with the locals and you make friends for life.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing, hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in.

Disliked: It is mainly oriented to people under 25 years old. Most of the people who go to the hostel get drunk because the hostel has its own bar, rooms are too crowded.
