Liked: The member of staff was helpful and friendly. Ideal location. Cheap bed which is what we needed. And my son managed to knock out a new song on the old piano. And despite my dislikes I have seen a few things in my life (probably one of there older guests). So we laughed about it all, had a drink and slept. So of.................

Disliked: The place was in the midst of building work. But I could not decide if it was improving it or making it worse. I would not recommend there plumber or electrician! In our room one of the electric sockets did not work. And neither did the light! And in the bathroom which looked sort of new one of the two sinks had no hot water. Three of the four beds were broken. And very squeaky when someone moved. BUT they did seem clean. And outside the window was a small yard used as a rubbish tip!

Liked: enjoyed my short stay at this hostel. very nice and the staff member that assisted me when checking in was very courteous. Will stay here again when I return to Brugge!

Disliked: The only thing that was not ok was the shower in my room did not work. Had to use public one in hall way.

Liked: The staff were friendly.

Disliked: At the time of my staying, the hostel was being "repaired", and everything was a huge mess. The room I was given was dirty, the bed really uncomfortable and the separate bathroom was disgusting. Also, they did not have breakfast as they advertised.

Liked: The staff are fabulous, the common room is cozy, the location is excellent, the wifi is free, the breakfast is cheap (not the most exciting but does the job) and it's very friendly.

Disliked: Ok, you've already read the bad points. Yes it's old, dirty, crumbling and smelly. The shower is our room was broken and the one down the hall could only be used by hand. No lockers. It was hilariously terrible. But, it was 16 euros a night in an expensive town. Don't expect 5 star!

Liked: Very close from train station and to the city center. Very nice staff.

Disliked: I missed hooks on walls to hang clothes on. Our dorm for 4 people was very small. No place to leave our things on. It was very much garbage outside our window.

Liked: The location was very good and the dorm rooms themselves were quite nice. The kitchen was small but efficient.

Disliked: The bathrooms weren't great but when we were there they were doing big renevations which I think will improve them.

Liked: just location

Disliked: the room (private double ensuite) was in very bad condition, old, badly painted and extremely cold. Old shower takes 10 min to get a bit warm. In fact, the room had two separate beds one of which was broken. Absolutely no value for money.

Liked: It was cheap and that's why we stayed here. But honestly, if you like things clean I wouldn't stay here.

Disliked: The toilet seats were off and on the ground. Beds were so creaky it kept everyone up at night. Also, no soap in the washrooms. Just overall a very old and dirty place.

Liked: Very easy to get to and close to sights. Very friendly staff, gave us a great cuty map as well as city cards for discounts. We opted to stay there an extra night.

Disliked: the floor was a little creaky so tough to sneak out early

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and clean.

Disliked: There was no hot water, so no shower. The internet constantly was down. My sink gurgled up dirty water from the drain and overflowed in the middle of the night, getting the moldy plywood floor and my bag wet.

Liked: Great staff, Mathias (sp?) was wicked and I am now going to consistently use the saying "as full as a cat!" Location is spot on, 5 mins walk to everything. Bar is cheap and internet is free.

Disliked: Needed a lick of paint but that wasn't so bad, I've stayed in a lot worse! The doors on the bathroom were a little revealing - you had to hand a sheet or something similar up to get proper privacy.

Liked: Great staff and atmosphere, good common room and kitchen

Disliked: older property that could use some maintenance. Clean enough beds but broken bathrooms and a messy kitchen. Breakfast not included in price - an additional 3eur per person

Liked: It was close to the train station and city sights.

Disliked: The rooms were so crowded you couldn't open the door properly or get in with your pack on. The whole place was dirty (pillow cases weren't changed, floor wasn't vacuumed & rubbish bin was overflowing in our room) & half the showers including the ensuite weren't working. Toilets either had no locks or no light & the ensuite door was see through. Beds were very noisy & uncomfortable. The kitchen was dirty & cramped with science experiment style left overs in the fridge & the pricing was dodgy with some people paying €9 and others €16 for some dorm.

Liked: Atmosphere, location, staff (especially), majority of facilities - all really good.

Disliked: Little bit suspect in some rooms, but the building is a bit old. Gives it some character! Internet was slow and kept shutting off, and only one of the three terminal was working.

Liked: The location was really good, so close to the centre of the city and the sights. The staff were really friendly too and always happy to help. Kitchen and laundry available too.

Disliked: The place needs a lot of work doing to it, the bedrooms were small and not a great standard decoration wise. The bathrooms and toilets were not clean either, a lot of work to do there to make this a great hostel.
