i liked how clean it was. the beds were also comfortable and the blankets warm. the only bad thing was that it was really far away. i walk at a decent pace, and it was still a 20 minute walk to the town center, and 35 minutes to the train station (the hostel was at the very north of the town, and the train station was at the very south). it'd take longer if you're a slow walker. there aren't any locks available to rent, so you have to bring your own.

Excellent price. 10 to 15 min walking to the center, depends how fast you walk. Good supply of informations about what to see and how in Brugge and other main cities of Belgium. Free Internet 24/7.

We were very impressed by how clean and tidy Art Hostel was. It was also a lot quiter than we were expecting, given that there was a bar downstairs. The only drawback were the location - a long way out of the central city and also quite hard to find (we drove past twice before noticing the discreet signage). As a side note; when we checked in we were charged to full amount for our stay, despite the fact that we had already paid a deposit to Hostelbookers. But when we pointed this out later the manager double checked and was happy to rectify her mistake.

Average. Able to control temperature in room. Lighting was poor in room and stairs. Restrooms were on stairs between floors.

It's such a cute little place and very clean. Breakfast is not included but if you buy it you get to set the time breakfast is. When we came down for breakfast they had set out place settings just for us and boiled eggs to our liking. Showers and bathrooms are very clean but the bathroom has a sensored light that turns off if you don't move for 5 seconds. Not the most sociable place but I still enjoyed my time there.

I do like the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the gests.
However I was suprise that I wasn't able to get a key for me while sharing one room with someone. This is the reason why I mark average for Safety and security for me and my possessions. I don't know wheater it was an incident that Saturday and I hope such incident won't happened again.
