Liked: There were no locks for the doors, the bathrooms were dirty and poorly kept, the shower did not stay on by itself for more than 2 minutes, the only lockers were too small to stow away backpacks and the dormstyle bedrooms were dingy.

Liked: Great location and yes, it was cheap, but the toilets smelt like a bus full of teenage tour goers had spent the night being sick in there and the security was next to non existent; no locks on any doors before 11pm and the luggage "room" just an open space right by the door. Very cheap, slightly cheerful but next time we visit Brugge we'll dish out a bit more dough for somewhere less....smelly!

Liked: A hostel in a great location. The staff wern't the friendliest though. The hostel was clean, had no kitchen and have to pay extra for breaky. Small lockers available outside the room. The beds were comfy and didnt squeek which was nice. Adequate bathroom facilities.

Liked: Great location, and reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful. The only unsettling thing was that there are no locks in the doors, but it didn't seem to be a problem. A commen area would be nice, but hey, go out and meet people.

Liked: This hostel has been undervalued by most commentors here. It looks fine, with a very warm and nice environment, complemented by a restaurant downstair with a superb atmosphere. The staff are okay. The toilet and shower are generally clean and warm water is available. Good to have a washing basin in the room too. The only thing that stuck into the way was the tissue paper flowing in the bathing area, and the lack of 'hooks' in the bathing room for hanging our clothes and stuff. Also, there were no keys for the lockers so they were actually unusable. Good for short stays like 1-2 days, but not for longer stays.

Liked: My only complaint is that I was a single female travelling alone and came back to the hostel after being out all day to find three men in the 4 person room that I was assigned to... no big deal, just slightly uncomfortable.

Liked: The place didnt have locking doors in the rooms, the lockers were small and outside of the rooms, most were unusable, there is a restaurant downstairs which is nice, for the mone it was good

Liked: Almost everything was ok, the problem was that there was an strange smell in the floor and that there were so few showers for all the people of the floor. When I arrived they asked if I wanted to pay 5 euro for the breakfast and they told me that it would have cheese and ham and milk etc, but there was only coffe, bread and jam.

Liked: Despite it's perfect location (one of the best there can be) and a very friendly staff, the smell is literally unbearable. There was a humid/rotten kind of smell, specially in the bathrooms and the corridor. Not to mention the fact that the bathrooms are the same for both hostel guests and restaurant clients. There are simple details that could be easily improved, like putting something on the shower's wall to hang the clothes when you have a shower (mine got all wet because I had to put them on the floor). All in all, I wouldn't recommend it; I expected much more from a hostel with cliams to have so many guide-book recommendations.

Liked: Location is the only thing going for this hostel, but it doesn't matter. Bruges is tiny, anything within the outer ring canal is fine. The hostel has absolutely zero security, literally from the street to the dorm bed there is not a single lock - or even closed door most of the time! No common room of any kind so no atmosphere or chance to meet people except when waiting for one of the three fairly primitive showers. Teeny tiny lockers are available but they are too small for anything more than a wallet and camera. Worst value (5 euro) breakfast on record (juice, toast and cornflakes only). Funky paint, but few power sockets in the rooms. Eat dinner at the resturant, the food is really good, otherwise skip it.
