Liked: Conveniently located.

Disliked: I was blamed for being racist when paying for my room because I asked whether it would be possible to get a receipt immediately and not "later" as I was told (I'm always trying to be on the save side, especially as I easily forget things like this). I had not even insisted on a receit, I had just asked whether it was really not possible to get it immediately and would have been happy with a simple explanation. Instead, the landlady's response was very unfriendly and something like "You don't trust me because of my skin color", followed by a monologue that she is the one who manages the place. I didn't feel welcome at all. Still, I got my receipt and as I tried to be extra-nice to avoid any further unpleasant situation or misunderstandings, I got along with her.

Liked: Clean and well looked after. Excellent location very near good beach and frequent bus route to airport and Bridgetown.

Disliked: VIVIAN left no negative feedback.

Liked: The guesthouse is in a prime location, known to the locals as "the Gap." An entertainment strip with ample bars, restaurants and convienience shops. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The property itself has the friendlist staff I've ever met and the residents at the time of my visit were equally as nice. Towels are free - and you can ask for beach towels on your way out. Kitchen is huge and the balcony/terrace is great for socialising and meeting fellow residents.

Disliked: Freezer was a bit small as was the shelf space. It's a dark walk (at night) from the bus stop through residential area which looks intimidating - but the locals are all friendly and will say "hi" if you look up and acknowledge them whiling away on their own porches/steps.

Liked: Rio Hostel is in a great location just off the main street of the Gap. It's really easy to get too and around and I felt really safe walking home at night. The room had everything I needed and the shared bathroom, kitchen and balcony were clean and tidy. The owners are lovely and really chilled out and I met some amazing people and had a fantastic stay. Free WiFi and local calls were also a bonus!

Disliked: Having to go home

Liked: Very difficult to rate because we've been here just 1 night, but it doesn't matter because we don't like Barbedos at all.
