Haus Ashling

Eugene and Margaret welcome you to Ashling Haus, a small and friendly Bed and Breakfast situated at the foot of the Schmittenhohe Mountain in the beautiful resort of Zell Am See and 8 minutes walk to the town centre. During the ski season is possible to ski out and ski home, snow permitting. Please note that in the winter we only accept bookings on a 7 day basis, Saturday to Saturday. All guests aged 14 years and over are obliged to pay Visitor Tax of 1 Euro per person per night.

We are from Ireland and pride ourselves in offering our guests a "Cead Mile Failte" (100,000 welcomes) and Irish hospitality in the beautiful surroundings of Zell am See, magnificent views can be seen from most of our room some of which have balconies - supplement for balcony rooms of €5 per person, per night paid locally. We have a guest lounge with a small resident's bar and a nice terrace overlooking the lake.

Zell am See is one of Austria's most beautiful places, nestled in a picturesque setting between Lake Zeller See and Schmittenhohe Mountain. This beautiful town is surrounded by majestic mountains and gentle rolling hills and has much to offer the traveler and adventurer.

We are located 150 meters from the zeller Bergbahn lift. Our house is an 8 minute walk to the centre of Zell am See of which there is a 3 minute steep walkway/driveway from the public road to our house.

Accommodation Information

We have double rooms, triple rooms and large family rooms, some of which have large balconies overlooking the lake with panoramic views of the mountains. All our rooms have shower, toilet, cable TV, radio and hair-dryer. (There is an extra charge for the large rooms with balconies). Bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price.

Location Information

We are located close to the City Express lift (gondola) and a 8 minute walk to the town center and lake. In the summer you can go hill-walking from our house and in winter you can ski out and ski home (snow permitting).
