The Blue Mountain Hotel is a family-run business situated on the Verditz mountain in Southern Austria. We are located about 40 minutes from Klagenfurt and about 25 minutes from Villach.

Our beautiful mountain setting provides stunning panoramic views. Situated on the Verditz ski piste (ski to the door) we offer easy access to a chairlift, ski school and rhodelbahn (summer toboggan run).

Accommodation Information

Here at The Blue Mountain Hotel we offer premium double rooms and family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, TVs and telephones. Most premium rooms also have balconies. There are also separate multi-share bedrooms, more suitable for groups, some with en-suite bathrooms.

Non-smoking throughout.

Our restaurant offers excellent, home cooked meals with traditional recipes from Austria, Australia and Europe.

We have:

Location Information

We are located only 20 minutes from the larger resorts of Bad Kleinkircheim and Gerlitzen, and only 45 minutes from the premier ski resorts of Tarvisio (Italy) and Kranjska Gora (Slovenia).

Airport/station transfers and inter-resort transfers available.

Winter activities: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, husky rides, ice skating on frozen lakes (day and night), tobogganing, ice parties, ice tennis, ice surfing, curling and ice hockey, hot air ballooning, helicopter flights and corporate team building.

Our hotel is located on the Verditz Mountain – a 10-minute drive up the mountain from the village of Afritz. Afritz is about 40 minutes from Klagenfurt and about 25 minutes from Villach.
