The Do Step Inn is 5 minutes walk from the main international railway station of Vienna – The Westbahnhof. Most sights are within walking distance.
You are right next to Vienna's main point of public transport.
How to find us:
From Westbahnhof:
Take the exit from the upper platform (where you have access to the
trains). Proceed to the street (Felberstrasse), use the pedestrian crossing, turn to the left
and walk about 100 Meters.
From Südbahnhof: Take tramway no. 18 to Westbahnhof.stbahnhof.
By Car:
Coming from the Western Highway (A1) you always follow the signs to the city center until you reach the castle of Schönbrunn (impossible to miss). Now turn left and at the third traffic light turn right. As you by now reached the Felberstrasse go nearly until its beginning and look for house number 22. In this part of the city parking is free of charge. Additionally you will find a big parking house at Westbahnhof.
Coming from the south, east or north go by the "Gürtel" to the Westbahnhof.
From the airport: There is a shuttle-bus to the Westbahnhof every 20 minutes.
The price for a single ticket is 6 Euro.
How to get around in the city: On foot: The old center of Vienna (within the Ringstrasse) you will reach in about 20 minutes walking down the biggest shopping street of Vienna, the Mariahilfer Strasse. To the castle of Schönbrunn you will also need about 20 minutes, taking just the opposite direction. When crossing the Gürtel you will be in 10 minutes in the 7th and 8th district - the best places for eating out and strolling around.
By public transport: The public transport system of Vienna is very efficient. Its subway system is only two decades old. The station Westbahnhof is one of Vienna's main points of public transport. From here you reach every point of the city quickly, easily and comfortably.
By bike: Not only the old town of Vienna but also its hilly outlying districts are worth to explore by bike.
By car: For a metropolis Vienna has got relatively few traffic jams. Parking is not free of charge in most parts of the town however.
