 I had the best time at this hostel....met sooo many people and some who were very special...I will never forget. I would recomend this place to anyone who is travelling...an experience indeed.

I was staying across the street from the main hostel and this was in an old building with lots of character and interesting architecture. The bar was great fun because people were encouraged to play the musical instruments and there was often a jam session in full swing when I went for a beer.

The whole package: from friendliness where you get a family like feeling with everybody in the hostel to tidiness which is great.

The piano and guitars in the common room, the fact it's a backpacker's hostel run by backpackers and the size of the common areas which make it very easy to meet other people. Only negative was an early closing time on the smoker's garden which is down to Vienna by-laws so not really their fault.

This hostel is located at a quiet place, there is no traffic, so you can sleep very well in the night. The common room is very nice, often someone of the guests is playing the piano, which causes a good atmosphere. It's really easy to meet people there. Nevertheless the party ends at a certain time, so the people can sleep in their rooms and there is no noise. If you want party the whole night, it's the wrong place, but if you want meet people in the evening, have a lot of fun in a warm atmosphere and then take recreation for the next day, you are right.

Very close to Westbahn Hof and a 20 minute walk into town, or a few stops on the U-Bahn. Really good crowd here and good facilites.

close enough to walk around the city and see sights without getting public transport - if you're on a budget, we also had a really goos shower
