It's my sencond time to stay the Hostel Ruthensteiner in 2007. It is very comfortable and clean. I would like to recommend to every traveler.

This hostel is really nice - the rooms are warm and inviting, there's lots of (comfy) seating downstairs for hanging out. Free wireless Internet! The staff was helpful. Check out the Mozart Stube down the street for your first meal - hostel folks get a discount on the Wiener Schnitzel. ;)

The staff was extremely helpful with information on night buses and other services. They were knowledgeable and friendly. And the hostel was clean and well maintained.

I liked that it was clean, safe, and easy to get to the center of town. I also liked the lockers in the room.

bathrooms attached to rooms, chill atmosphere, wonderful couches tables and bar area to hang out at at night, lots of friendly people, little lights above beds so you didn´t bother the other people at night

beds are really comfortable, nice well-equipped kitchen, really close to Westbahnhof, several supermarkets and a place with cheap internet around the corner. rooms are smallish but comfortable, well-heated. nice clean bathroom, in-dorm lockers and secure rooms.

I stay on Nov 27, 2006 at this hostel. Although there's no elevator but the highest floor is 1st floor. The room is not spacious but very clean and the facilities are excellent. Unfortunately there's no free internet. But for stay, I highly recommend this hostel !

It did have quite the social setting including a bar however, I only stayed one night so I didn't really get a first-hand experience. At the time they were doing some renovations to the place however, the living quarters and common room remained untouched and\or already finished. It's really a nice place.
