Liked: Cool dorms, we met nice people. Cheap, close to the metro station, the bar is open at night, reasonaple prices.

Liked: It's very near to a metro station, so you can go all over the city without walking very much. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. They also have breakfast for 4 euros!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Very well situated and the staff were super helpful.

Disliked: The atmosphere was terrible, just groups of people huddled near wifi points.

Liked: The breakfast was great and the place was very clean and tidy.

Disliked: Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Kind of outside the center, but the train was nearly out of the doorstep so it was still easy to get everywhere.

Liked: Reasonable location, friendly enough staff

Disliked: The rooms were overcrowded with a mix of really noisy bunk beds and wooden ones. The kitchen facilities were pathetic for a 6 floor hostel, there was only one cutting knife and hotplate. The kitchen fridge was also disgusting.

Liked: It's great to have free wireless internet - I really appreaciate that.

Disliked: I would like to have some locker in the room to lock my bag into it - just to be sure that nothing will be stolen from me during I'm sleeping (since I shared the room with 5 other people).

Liked: We met some cool people but that was at our initiation not the hostels. Easy, clean, comfortable and safe.

Disliked: breakfast was expensive for what you got Very family oriented hostel - this was unexpected to hear children running around the pool/games area at night.

Liked: the girl who checked us in was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. the security is excellent, and the hostel/hotel is very clean.

Disliked: \be aware that if you buy 24 hours of wi fi for your room, it will expire 24 hours after pruchase/first log in. it is NOT 24 hours worth of internet to use over the duration of your stay, whever you want , by logging on and logging off. this is how it is described on the daphinx homepage but it is not true. reception should inform customers of this before they buy it. wifi is free in reception, but it was not working while we were there, and there are no socket to plug your computer into (unless you sit on the floor) the guest kitchen is a sink, a microwave, a small portable oven/grill and a portable hot plate with only one working. bit of a joke for a hostel this size! some girls on reception appeared rude and snobby most of the time we had to talk to them.

Disliked: 1- you need to give an entrance card for each person.. because from the same group, people can come to hostel at different times..so they have to wait for each other to enter inside.. 2-there must be a small locker for the bags inside the room..

Liked: Meininger hostels are always fantastic. They set the bar for excellence in European hostels. The rooms are spacious with a tv and shower/bathroom included. Internet is cheapish and only 7mins away from the center of Vienna and 30seconds from the metro station, with shops and everything you need nearby.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.
