Very clean and new. Very good atmosphere. one of the best Y-H i've ever been to. I gotta come back to viena to see a couple of museums, defintevely i'll book here

great atmosphere, great place to meet like-minded travellers
not a great location, but good transport links in vienna to get you to and from the city and the hostel is in close proximity to the main train station 'westbahnhof'.

It had very good facilities - a kitchen, laundry, a bar, safe deposit, internet - the only annoying thing was having to pay 3.50 euros for breakfast but it was worth it as the breakfast was cery good. The room was very comfortable and clean. Takes a while to walk to the centre - maybe 30-35 mins but you can take the u-bahn from Westbahnhof which is about a 5-10 minute walk away. It was very sociable, the bar is a great place for meeting people and hanging out. It can get very noisy though at weekends, as we arrived on Saturday night and our room overlooked the central courtyard meaning we could hear all sorts of banging music and later on drunken antics till around 2 or 3am. We were fine with this as it's what we expected but if you're looking for peace and quiet it's probably not the place for you!

Fre WiFi...place is clean...good place to meet people..try to stay at the "Place" rather than the "base". The "place" looks a little more fun and it is closer to the station.

Exceptional staff, wonderful accommodations, Just all around great. There are 2 Wombat's along the same direction from the train station though. Be sure you go to the right one. The base is a little further out.
