Liked: Very nice place and friendly staff. BUT we had ordered a private room for 5 persons: 2 adults and 3 children and they had put us in a shared room. We couldn't have stayed in a shared room with a 4 year old, so we decided to leave again. But the staff found 2 private rooms a 2 persons and a 3 persons - so the family split up and it was okay. But I was very dissapointed that they didn't respect our request for a 5 persons private room.

Liked: Great location for visiting the Old Town. Nice dorms, friendly staff, free brekkie which is always a bonus! The internet connection was slow and rather expensive though.

Liked: All round very good. stayed in 8-bed room. lockers are very big and outside rooms, have to pay 2 euros but get it back at the end. 3 showers for each sex and separate toilets - everything seemed clean. best part was free breakfast, just filled up on that and was set for day. only real issue was that it was more expensive than most other hostels we stayed in, but then Salzburg is an expensive city so was to be expected.

Liked: The breakfast buffet at least kept costs down in a very expensive city - would have been even easier if you were given kitchen access...

Liked: Large lobby area with a bar and separate dining room for the free breakfast which is actually pretty decent as far as hostels go

Liked: A grt place to be.I stayed here the second time.and if ever I do go back to Salzburg, I would always go back to the same hostel..an amazing place..

Liked: The only problem with this hostel is it is full of school groups, so you get lots of kids/teenagers running around

Liked: The food was great and good value for money. The rooms where we stayed were slightly weird though. There were windows through to the next dorm which you could crawl through if you wanted. Essentially you were in a 16 bed dorm, not the 8 person that you expected because you heard all the noise and could see into the next room. It wasn't a problem though. A really great place and would recommend staying there. The worst thing was that the staff were really slow and would leave you waiting for ages while they did there own thing.

Liked: Staff, cleanliness and facilities were all AWESOME! The desk reception were so nice and helpful AND they play the sound of music every night! It's not exactly in the center of town, but only about a 10-20 walk to restaurants etc.

Liked: The location of guesthouse is good. The staff was very helpfull in giving correct directions around the area (thank u!). Food is ok. Rooms are clean. Very good value for money . Would stay next time if I go again to Salzburg.

Liked: The hostel is in the historic side of Salzburg, so very close to a lot of the major sights. The staff however were not very helpful and at times even rude. Breakfast and the rooms were good, and the 8pm showing of the Sound of Music was always fantastic!! Dont forget to try weiner schnitzel!

Liked: Great Breakfast and Friendly staff,but and this is a big but getting a nights sleep is difficult.Groups of children are often staying here and are not under any real controls of teachers.There is a 10 o clock quiet period which was totally ignored.Shame as Hostel is really nice.Suggest they put overseas single/couple visitors into a totally different section away from the kids

Liked: toilet facilities were not working well - mainly lights and hot water in the shared bathrooms. there were very old too. crowded and noisy with groups of school children when we were there. had only one receptionist in a very big hostel, this often resulted in a queue.

Liked: Very busy place with lots of young people. They overbooked and upgraded me to a single room for no additional cost. The room was very nice and clean.
