Liked: so clean, easy to find, close to great bars, ABSOLUTLY AMAZING BREAKFAST, had there own bar so you could have a quick one before heading out with mates or new freinds, the staff was very freindly very close to salzburg castle

Disliked: ownly problem was the internet was down, (BUT NOT WIFI) but these things happen

Liked: The family atmosphere. Being able to watch 'The Sound of Music' before taking the tour. The lovely outlook up to the Fortress. The coffee shop.

Disliked: Sometimes not enough staff at the counter.

Disliked: Not that I realy disliked this, but I think if I stayed any longer I would face a generation gap in terms of lifestyle rythm. For instance I am not an early-riser and roommates could be, meal durationis a bit shord an therefore, overcrowded...

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The dorm room was very very small. The shower room smelt awful, like some one went number 2 in the shower. The location is in the middle of a construction zone. The breakfast was packed with people and the place had no atmosphere

Liked: It was very clean. The breakfast starts at 7 AM....but we had to check-out by 6.30. But the staff allowed us to have breakfast at 6.15 and they were really friendly

Disliked: People talking in the next room can be heard and this could be a nuisance if one wants to go to bed early.

Liked: The breakfast which is included in the price was really good and saves you some $, and I found the location great as well, just a few minutes' walk to the beautiful old part of the town. Bathrooms were clean, and staff friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Liked: The staff was GREAT about changing our room since we were so unhappy.

Disliked: We were traveling as a party of three ages 23-26. We booked together as a party of three and when we arrived at the hostel, we were split up by gender. This was not mentioned at the time of booking. When we went to our dorm, it was very tiny for an 8 person dorm. The people who were already in the dorm had TRASHED it. The communal bathroom and shower are equipped for one person at a time and since there was a party going on outside, there was a long wait time to use the restroom (and it was pretty dirty). HOWEVER, the staff was GREAT about changing our room since we were so unhappy. For 5 more euros we were upgraded to what was more like a hotel room than a hostel. With that being said, pay the few euros extra for the private rooms.

Liked: Felt more like a hotel than a hostel!!! Fantastic value for money and a brilliant place to stay. Great staff, great rooms, open 24 hours too!

Liked: They have a pretty good location. Easy to find and easy to walk into the city center. They have a very big very modern building.

Disliked: The hostel was over run by school groups with tons of little kids. They were loud until late at night and were banging away again early in the morning. They also made the facilities dirty by horsing around playing games in the bathrooms.

Liked: It was clean and well kept and the Bike Rentals and the fact it is in Salzburg.

Disliked: There was terrible customer service. Our booking was changed when we got there the hostel was fully booked but we had reserved our room in advance. It was appalling how much they didn't really care that one of our traveling mates had to be in another room. We requested for them to change it so that we could all be together as we had selected in our reservation, but they did nothing and we received attitude from one of the ladies behind the counter. We couldn't believe it.

Liked: More hotel than hostel. Very big, but clean and well-maintained. Complimentary breakfast was the best I've had. Had to move rooms in the middle of the night because a middle school group didn't want some stranger in their room, but the hostel staff was quite nice about it, and got upgraded to a 2-person room with private bath instead of 8-bed dorm room. There is only ever one person at the reception, which makes for very long wait times, especially for a place this big.

Liked: Definitelly a good hostel to stay ! The staff seemed a bit overbooked, but the place is very nice and clean, the beds very confortable, no noise during the night, clean toilets and bathrooms. Moreover, it's very close to the center, 5 mins walk.

Liked: The staff were very helpful. There was a mix up with our booking and the staff accepted their own mistake and upgraded us to better rooms. The staff spoke very good english, the rooms were new and nice and clean, the cafe served a variety of good and affordable food and had great ice blocks! The common room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful in setting up a viewing of the Sound of Music. One staff member (with shortish blonde hair) was amazing (an angel in disguise) she called up another hotel and translated German for us. Without her help we may have never reached our next destination. The hostel is in a great location. The only problem with the hostel is that the website said the breakfast had hot food (eggs in the picture) but there was no hot food.
