 this hostel was very clean and had extremely good showers. the rooms were spacious and the beds were modern. this however was only the case on the lower levels, i heard from another person that the beds were older as were the showers, upstairs. i would recommend this to anyone, altough the staff seemed not to care and the net was a bit pricy (3 euro for 40mins). the breakfast was also very good they actually had hot food and it was free

The hostel was clean and close the castel, but it is a place to sleep and that's about it. The breakfast is not to bad either. Don't expect to meet people at this place.

very organised and friendly. absolutely everything you could possibly need and it all works. great showers! hairdryers! internet that works and many terminals. YAY!

It's location was ideal and the bar provided some affordable snacks and drinks.

Good location, short walk from all the sights and river. Very clean and new. Great buffet type, Austrian breakfast. The staff could have been friendlier, I didn´t realise breakfast was included in the price, you have to ask the questions yourself as they don´t explain how it all works there. But a great stay and would go there again.(NZ)

The rooms were fantastic and the breakfast was very good too. The location is fantastic as it is very quiet and secluded, but very close to everything at the same time. Thank you.

The restaurant on site is very good and the hostel is bright and clean. Staff could be a bit more friendly but were helpful when asked.

I thought the exterior didn't meet the interior. There was graffiti on the walls, the bathrooms smelled, and it felt very grungy compared to the exterior and the lobby. But they offer wifi and breakfast, so that was good, at leas.

The hostel is a cool place to stay and is really close to the old town of Salzburg. It is pretty big and impersonal though.

Cheap, close location, put me in same gender room with people my age, breakfast was just okay but at least buffet, location was in an alley that needs to be upgraded, lockers are good

The room setup was good - individual lights for each bed. Lockers were outside the room so noise was reduced at night.

EXCELLENT HOSTEL! very close to main attractions and within walking distance. love the atmosphere...very cozy, shows sound of music movie every night....nicely furnished, excellent!

I stayed here at the beginning of August 2008 and have no complaints at all. Really great location near the old town, clean hostel, friendly and helpful staff, very impressive breakfast buffet and as an added bonus, 'The Sounds of Music' is shown at 8pm every night...what more could you want?!

The instructions given were so precise and after a 23 flight and 5 hr train ride, it was a relief to find the place with ease. It is basically a 10 min walk from the old city and all the most fasinating places to see in Salzberg. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Salzberg.

I liked the atmosphere a lot. The location at first was a little off, but once you get to know the area and how to get around it was super easy. Everything was very convienant and the staff was very helpful.

Close to centre of old town, clean rooms and bathrooms, spacious common areas. Good range of food for breakfast and dinner.
