Liked: clean, and good facilities, although there were a lot of Highschoolers there learning how to be adults, which made for a rough night of sleeping. Lots of yelling and banging around

Liked: the brunch for the olympics and seeing the mayor. great breakfasts every morning. easy to book tours. but too many school kitds!

Liked: We really liked the friendliness of the desk staff--the young man who worked the afternoon shift was especially helpful. They were always happy to serve us in whatever way we needed--Sound of Music tour, directions, towels, turning up thevolume of the movie when other guests were too loud........perhaps the movie should be shown without partying people in the same room. (Have the partyers go to the other side of the lobby by the desk so that people watching the movie can hear.) GREAT breakfasts--all in all, this is a super place to stay and a nice value for the money.The

Liked: They are currently renovating the building and we stayed in a fairly new room. Very clean (exspecially the bathroom). I reckon the older dorms are less tidy but the hostle is very nice anyway. Excellent breakfast :-)

Liked: The breakfast really is suberb! Thumbs up :) Lots of children and families equals noise... They arrange many trips on the area with Salzburg Sightseeing Tours if you like to see more than just Salzburg. I participated on the Sound of Music tour and Ice Caves tour and both were very pleasant. I recommend!

Liked: The security was great. Its close to the castle and buses as well. The sound of music tour was amazing.

Liked: Great location, good breakfast buffet, clean rooms and common areas. Unfortunately, it was under construction which was not mentioned in the web-site. It just looked much different than the pictures. Normally it would have a nice view of the castle and a nice sitting area outside. At this time it is just all tore up during the construction period.

Liked: well the location was superb and the staff were helpful and friendly.. although the kids were always on the hallway during our stay and could hear running in the middle of the night...
