Location, so many things to do at the hostel itself as well as the area around it. Hospitable and helpful staff. Great food spread. :)

its huge!!! but the location is really really good but the hostel itself could be a bit nosey...or atleast i stayed on a hall with a bunch of small kids that got up at 6 30 am

The best thing about this hostel is its location to the old town, The hostel itself was ok, it was clean and secure but it didn't have that great of atmosphere while we were there, but that could have just been the time of year.

Great family orientated enviroment which is also great for couples or singles. The place was immensly clean and the best thing about the hostel was the most fantastic views of snow capped mountains and a castle. The only small complaint we would have about this place is the fact that we were not Hostelling International members and therefore got charged 4 Euro more each per night. It does state this on the website (which we unfortunatly didn't see)but doesn't mention it on the invoice. It is still good value for money though even if you pay the Hostelling International charge (you do get an HI card for this though). Also the breakfasts were fantastic and they played Sound of Music every night at 8. A great homely place to stay - would highly recommend.

one of those hostels that is really just a hotel. not my kind of place as its very big and plays constant re-runs of 'the sound of music'. however if this sounds good to you then its ok. full facilities and very clean.
