Liked: The nearby landscape was nice.

Disliked: The noise and arrogant behavour of the land lady and her lack of manners and attitude. I have never met such a terrible person like her.

Liked: After booking a double room for one night, on arrival we were told by the host that they were full and we would have to stay at her friend's house. The new house was closer to town and clean.

Disliked: Firstly, the fact that after booking online we were told that we couldn't stay when we arrived. Secondly, we weren't given good directions to the other house. Thirdly, the new host was unhelpful and not overly hospitable. Finally, when we went to pay, the new host would not acknowledge the deposit we had paid online and attempted to charge us the full rate - it seemed the original host from Haus Kernstock was going to keep this for herself. After sorting out the payment with a phone call to the first host we were told "I don't like taking guests from her-there's always trouble".

Disliked: The location is in walking distance from the center (25 minutes) but the neighborhood is unusual, in the sense that the neighbors are industries. The house itself is very fine.

Liked: the house is very beautiful, comfortable and relaxing! spectacular view from the room! clean bathroom. good place to get away from the bustling city life.. perfect stay for family/relaxing/romantic holiday!

Disliked: not enough directions and signboards provided after alighting from the bus.

Liked: Nice building.

Disliked: It smelt of cigarettes and it was a bit too far from the centre of town.

Disliked: It was a problem carrying our luggage up so many stairs without assistance. The welcome from the hostess was very cold

Liked: Although this property was a little way out of Salzburg it was serviced very well by the bus route. It was so clean and beautifully maintained. It only took 10 mins and you were in the centre of Salzburg.

Disliked: I had nothing to dislike about this property.

Liked: The location is a bit far from the old city center. You need a complete map to locate the house in relation to the tourist attractions. You have access to a couple of bus lines, 2 (20 minutes to city center) and 27 (10 minutes to city center), both within 10 minutes by foot. Very close to Stiegl Brauwelt and the airport. Magnificent view of Mount Untersberg.

Liked: Ran by a lovely Austrian lady, pretty location. Close to the airport, but this does not disrupt your stay.They do not accept credit card so you will need to make sure you have the cash on you when you arrive.

Liked: We had to walk 3km's with our bags in order to phone the lady that runs the place. The lady just left a note at door to phone her when we get there, not great if you don't have a mobile phone in a foreign country. They do have a pin at door which they could have given beforehand. Also the only place where we were bitten by bed bugs which left huge red marks on our bodies. I also didn't appreciate being watched how I chew my food in the kitchen.

Liked: We were lucky enough to occupy a pleasant family room with private facilities as mother and daughter. We were fortunate to be at ground level which was cooler than on other floors and we had the one room that looked out over the meadow towards the mountains rather than over the crate storage facilities. The hostel was near a Spar so we could obtain bread, fruit and water very easily. It was easily accessible from the airport and we could park the hire car outside. Frau Kernstock was hospitable and welcoming.

Liked: un peu loin du centre ville , tenue des chambres à conseiller pour toute clientèle souhaitant se retrouver chez soi: propreté, autonomie, et une aide précieuse de la maîtresse des lieux. De 7 à 97 ans vous y trouverez votre bonheur.

Liked: Fantastic location - we walked to the airport - and a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Access to the city is very easy by either ofn two buses - approx 15-20 mins only. There is a great Gasthaus aboutn 100m away where we enjoyed meals and hospitality.
