Property description / Overview of facilities
All began in 1900, when the house was built in a Fin de siécle style as an apartment block. From the beginning, what is now our breakfast room, had been home of a dancing Café with Live music.
In the 1970ies, tourism boomed in Salzburg. So Oskar Pregartbauer began to let rooms for the incoming tourists. Due to its ideal location, near the train station and near the town centre, this was a success.
The Pension Adlerhof was born.
We can offer you affordable but nice single- double- triple- or quadruple rooms.
All our standard rooms are rooms with shower/WC, Sat-TV/Radio, telephone, and hairdryer. The room rates include breakfast buffet as well as all taxes and charges.
Some rooms are larger, some are smaller, some older, some newer, but all of them are individually furnished. Either in modern or in a traditional Austrian style.
We offer 30 comfortable guest rooms, which are available on 4 floors.
They are easy to be reached with our elevator, so you do not have to bother stepping steps.
Most of our rooms face a quiet and sunny courtyard.
Those rooms facing the Elisabethstreet have got noise-protection windows to keep all noises outside - Additionally there is a night driving ban on our street.
We have also Budget rooms:
A Room (either single or double) withshared bathroom and WC.
We have got 3 of them, all on the same floor.
Directions / How to find your hostel
We are ideally located for all who want to individually discover Salzburg and its surroundings.
From the Adlerhof it is just 3 walking minutes to the main train station. To the core of Salzburgs Historical district it is only 15 walking minutes. The Salzburg Congress Centre is located only 8 walking minutes from our house.
At first, you leave the Salzburg train station through its (main) exit/entrance.
You will then see a large square.
You just cross this square (to your right you will see a shopping centre) and follow the way (Kaiserschuetzenstrasse) to your right, straight ahead.
Keep going straight ahead until you reach the first traffic lights. You cross the (Elisabeth) street there and turn left into Elisabethstreet.
You walk until you arrive at house number 25.
That is us.
Once arrived at Salzburg Airport, you have got two possibilities to get to us:
By bus
The easiest and fastest connection to reach us from the airport is Bus # 2. This bus goes directly to the train station. The bus will leave about every 20 minutes and costs around Euro 1.80 /person /single ride.
The ride from the airport to the train station takes - depending on the traffic - about 30 minutes.
By taxi
In front of the airport, several taxis are usually waiting for customers. You just tell the driver you want to go to Elisabethstrasse 25, Pension Adlerhof, and he/she will take you to us.
The ride will take about 15 minutes and costs about 15 Euro.
