 Gerhard, the owner, is extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. There are many outdoor activities to do like hiking, biking, horseback riding, rafting. There is a game room and pool table. The sauna was out of comission when we were there. There is no self-help kitchen but the home cooked meals are fabulous. The only problem I encountered was that smoking is allowed everywhere in the hostel and on the premises -it was pretty stinky and hard to get away from. The bar downstairs is a common hang out for locals, which can be entertaining.

We appreciated the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owners. The food was homecooked and tasty, even taking into account a vegetarian's diet. The view from our room was spectacular and the bedding was clean.

very close to ski lifts. great atomsphere and staff were willing to help out any way possible. home cooked meals were a big plus too.

Staff were amazing. The place really felt like home and it was a true Austrian experience. You can have a drink with the locals at night or keep to yourself. You can relax during the day or do a hard 7 hour hike. You can really make your own time

Friendly helpful staff, very relaxed atmosphere. Lift to and from train station. Two bars on premises but not noisy at night.

Idyllic location, friendly staff, wonderful food. You can't possibly do better than the Treehouse anywhere.

Location mostly it is in really beautiful part of austria that is not to far off the beaten track well connected to salzburg and viennaeven on a sunday. the food was unbelievable and cheap. As soon as we found out that Gerhard used to be a pastry chef I put my order in for apple strudel and he obliged inproviding it that evening! Don´t overlook this hostel in the summer the hiking and bike riding was spectacular and as it is mostly a winter destination we almost had the run of the place to ourselves. highly recommended
