Liked: It was a good place to meet people and the location was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: It was dirty and smelly. We booked the rooms early as we was staying over new year but when we got there they had given our room away saying that because we had booked so early they didnt believe we were going to turn up even though we had paid a deposit!!!

Liked: The dinner was a great value, if you use it.

Disliked: The room and the common area smelled horrible. Dirty. Expect to find people who have been living in room for 6 months--shouldn't put in same room as travellers.

Liked: Great location, close to city center. Shops and train station in the corner.Breakfast and dinner included. Lots of nightlife at KC area.

Disliked: There are just 3 computers for common use, sometimes you have to wait a bit for your turn.

Liked: Liked its position and the people staying there were great. The rooms were basic but served my need and it is close to Bondi and some good nights out

Disliked: The cleanliness was a big issue I found a used condom undermy bed after the room was supposed to have been cleaned before my arrival, there was a cockroach in the fridge all three days I was there and the bathrooms were rotting

Liked: Really nice hostel. Has a lot of character. The staff are great and will do anything for you- really friendly. Dorm rooms are all fine no problems at all. The hostel has a lot of long termers living there so for a traveller not staying a long time it is more difficult to meet people who are moving on. This however is the case in most hostels in the Cross and also i still managed to make a lot of friends and was only there 4 nights- you just have to be prepared to make an effort! Whether you are wanting to work and stay long term or move on would defo recommend the hostel to people as it is fun for whoever!

Liked: Awesome place to meet people and have a fun time. This is my first hostel, came here by myself (girl). Was a bit shady looking at first but then again i came when it was dark. Stayed for a week and felt completely safe. If you want something quiet & boring dont come here lol.

Liked: lots of people live there so it is difficult to meet new backpackers, pretty messy and dirty, some staff members use and helpless, carpet floor kinda disgusting, 2 of 4 pcs didnt work, gotta pay for wireless, wtf??, woke up with lots of bites on my feet (bedbugs?), pretty loud outside, breakfast and dinner ok, big tv in common room is nice, ok to stay there for 1-2 nights

Liked: Maybe the best hostel I've ever stayed at, and I've seen hundreds. Great staff, great guests, just altogether friendly, fun and great. Could be safer though, and people who steal phones should be shot......

Liked: When i arrived after my flight, there was no one there and i couldnt get in until i ring the phone a few times. They then had no record of my booking. because of this, i was put in a double room so found it hard to meet people. Also no air conditioning and lots of men in the all girls dorm!On the plus side, It was a good price for Sydney and included breakfast and free internet. Was good the dorm had balcony and ensuite.

Liked: the room mates when i first arrived,the big parties planned by the staff... the way how everyone is chating to each other, planning days out together.the atmosphere make it all here.

Liked: i liked the fact that you are so close to everything, The ladies i stayed with in my room #17. you dont have a curf or time limit on stuff , as well as you can watch tv and just crash with a huge group of people in the common room.

Liked: Free internet access and free food was pretty awesome.We got upgraded to a 4 room (there were 3 of us) as they had no available dorms and we had the room to ourselves. If you want sleep then don't stay there on a Saturday night as it's very loud with the 2 bars right next door.Nice walk into town (15-20 mins)
