Liked: location ok,free wifi,cheap.

Disliked: dead cockroaches on the walls,rooms stuffy and dirty. noisy.wifi signal poor in bedrooms.reception staff couldn't even raise a smile!

Liked: The free wifi.

Disliked: was so hot. no air con or fan. very dirty with bugs in the shower. staff was not friendly at all. the kitchen is beyond dirty. could not find any toast or anything that was suppose to be provided. overall, not a good place to stay, certainly would not recommend.

Liked: absolutley NOTHING

Disliked: everything! the room was dirty and small, the 'reception' was always packed as it seemed it was the only place to get wi-fi, the bathrooms where disgusting, the ceiling was moulded and pelling away and looked like if you touched it it would cave in on you

Liked: Off the strip there seems to be a different kind of traveller. That place is not that loud and crowded. Place is cleaned every single day, but the staff definitely needs to be told that the cooker should be cleaned, the cupboards should be cleaned, because that looks like shit and attracts the roaches. Free rice and bread and coffee and tea is served! Great!

Disliked: The WiFi is working very poor quite often, plus that it breaks down.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: Not very clean, bad smell in a room. This hostel is only for party people (parties up to 4am, they screamed, play music very loud, people were running all around the place all night and no one care about people that wanted to sleep, and u really can do nothing about, believe me I tried...)

Liked: Roof was really nice place to hang around at evenings and people nice. Kitcen and toilets are clean all times! I really liked my stay in that hostel so I can recommend that!

Disliked: There is small cockroaches and toilets are a bit small.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: When you enter the property you are welcome with the smell of the dirty carpet. The room is supposed to have a private bathroom. I would describe it more certainly as a water hole. A kitchen sink with the remaining of a wall support which might have previously supported a shelve. the 2 wall supports are still here attached to the wall and pointing in your direction ready to pop your eye off when you try to reach the tap. The toilets are shared. I was not able to close the door because the handle didn't exist. Only the hole was there. and for sure no lock. and I could tell you about the cleanliness of the place you can imagine by yourself!! The ceiling are all over dirty and full of moisture!! take care people who suffer from allergies!! The kitchen is a nightmare!! I didn't even suffer taking a tea there. I wouldn't even let my dog in there!

Liked: Absolutely nothing!!

Disliked: The kitchen was filthy. No cutlery or anything. Half of the things to cook don't work. The place is filthy. Heaps of bugs in the room. Dead bugs on the floor in room and in the fridge in the room. They don't clean the rooms. Just change the bed sheets. Never hoover the room, or didn't for the week or two we stayed there.

Liked: Some people were nice and the room had a fridge. I liked the loung room and the little dining room was cute. It's not a bad location, as you can get to the main attractions on foot easilly.

Disliked: I was really upset on arrival to find that I was in a room with a really intimidating man who would not speak to me. Being a single female traveller, I think that the hostel needs to consider more carefully where they place people. The man in room 40 is a permenant resident and was quite frankly petrifying to be around, to the extent that I had to wait for the other two members of the room to return before I felt safe enough to go to bed. This ruined the hostel for me and I was really unhappy whilst I was in my room. Other people at the hostel were really sweet and the staff were ok, but were more interested in answering the phone than dealing with customers in front of them.

Liked: The location close to the city centre and kingscross was allright, it is in walking distance to most things like the botanic gardens, sydney opera house, australian museum, darlington harbour, china town, the bridge, elisabeth bay and the Rocks. Help with transport to the airport was okay but told us that it was 12 dollars but if you want to pay with your visa it is 14

Disliked: Very old building, carpets on the floor seemed dirty, kitchen smelled bad, cockroaches in the room every time we came home, old and worn linen and not clean, hair from other persons on the linen which was supposed to be clean! lots of noise in the night as well as in the early morning!

Liked: It's very well located.

Disliked: Lack of comfort and cleanliness. Dirty. Expensive for what it is. The paint is peeling everywhere, the toilets are dirty, the shower and all the curtains too. The beds are very basic, the bed linen is old and shabby (difficult to know if clean) and the quilt is thin and washed out. The shuttle booked with the reception and for which we paid 24AUS$ never came: we had to take a taxi for 34AUS$ on top!

Liked: Jugendherberges in Germany ,usually are quite clean because cheap does not mean unclean.........! With a small effort and maintenance,City Resort could be very good...! Try !
