Liked: Overall quite clean, well organized, good facilities and a good location (if you're looking for a place next to the beach, outside of Sydney).

Disliked: Even though our room seemed to be clean, it didn't smell that way. Every time we opened the door when we returned, it smelled like mould.

Liked: Lovely BBQ area. right on the beach, close to bus stops for city centre, nice staff with lots of organised events. Would definitely recomend :)

Disliked: Advertised free continental breakfast which wasnt offered during peak times despite being advertised

Liked: Right by the beach. Easy to get to buses, they run frequently Very close to bus stop.

Disliked: I wasn't aware that there would be a year 7 class trip booked into the hostel at the same time ...

Liked: chilled out quiet nice break from the city centre amd slap bang on the beach

Disliked: there was a disposable razor in the shower the whole of my stay...obviously not cleaned in the week i was there!!

Liked: Free surfboards, beach over the road and an excellent cafe...and the staff are amazing. This is a great hostel.

Disliked: Some food was stolen from the fridge, but nothing major.

Disliked: so many beds for rooms, therefore so much disorder.

Liked: Staff were friendly and easy to get to from bus stop.

Disliked: Nosey gang took over outside eating area every night which made it very off putting to eat your dinner. Bikes were knackered and not much selection if you wanted a surf board. The beach was really close but not much else going on.

Liked: Individually lockers (take your own padlock. And location were so close to beach.

Disliked: Otherwise very good place, but there was no control over christmas to maintain peace and quiet during night time. There were noise. Also at the day time they were allowed to play music too loud, you couldn't hear your thoughts while making a meal.

Liked: Location.

Disliked: Bathrooms on floors 1 and 2 smell of urine. Kitchen is often dirty, not many pots and pans to cook with. Rooms are small, and the rooms are too hot. As of today they are turning the TV room into a 10 bed dormitory, which is probably ILLEGAL seeing there is no proper fire escape for that room! No Christmas decorations anywhere in the building. This hostel will have a long awaited change of management on January 1, 2011.

Liked: The free board hire was great and the staff were lovely. Kitchen was mostly clean and a decent size so we always managed to cook when we wanted.

Disliked: Our room mates werent the best, so we didnt get great nights sleep.

Liked: I liked the fact it was right on the beach. Staff are really hospitable too, very friendly, TV room was a great alternative to drink, nice spacious common room and garden too.

Disliked: paying for wifi and laundry (VERY EXPENSIVE) also the hostel seems to have clients that are either 18 or 38 with no inbetween, very strange clientel

Liked: The staff are really helpful and always approachable. Its really safe and clean. Only a 2min walk to collaroy beach and a 5-10min bus journey to Manly beach.

Liked: It is very close to the beach. Free surfboards but only 5. You can throw away the bodyboards and only buy surfboards. There is a huge kitchen, swimming pool and barbecue area.

Disliked: Sometimes not easy to meet people, because it is huge. No alc drinks after 10pm or 11pm should be 0 am.

Liked: Very clean, beautiful setting & environment! Everyone respectful & polite! The only downfall of this one is that the front entrance gets locked quite early in the evening, making it tough to come in & out any hours of the night, especially if you arrive there late! Almost was locked out, luckily night staff happened to be passing by shortly after I arrived, thought I was going to be camping out front for the night! (Needs to be better access for travelers coming in late that don't have local phone access!)
