 Friendly atmosphere, 2 seconds from the beach and surfing. Communal areas to meet people. A bit far from the Sydney centre however. Beware, this city is very, very large. The difference in bus fare makes up for the difference in price. If you want night life, pick a hostel closer to town. But if you want a relaxed atmosphere and easy pub nights this is the place!

The staff were very helpful to us when we needed to know how to get around sydney. However being right across from the bathroom we heard alot!! Other than that we had fun

This is the cleanest and mostly friendly hostel that I have stayed at so far on my travels just when you are about to give up and go home you check into Sydney Beachouse YHA

It is across the road to the beach. But be prepared it is a 40 minute bus journey from the centre of Syndney, great for surfing dudes and the cafe next door does a wicked fried egg roll!! Enjoy x

Not for those that wish to be in the mioddle of things, but for us the location was perfect as we wanted to really chill out after travelling a lot around OZ.The Nothern beaches are really beautiful and the hostel has free bike hire so a great way to get around. Good value for money and clean.

Very clean, and very quiet. YHA seems to be the Best Western of Hostels. Not a great hostel for meeting people, but we only stayed a few nights. If you're looking for a clean and quiet hostel, this is the place.
