Liked: Great location in the middle of the city and close to Darling Harbour

Disliked: Bathroom could be cleaner, rooms are tiny

Liked: Good location.

Disliked: Bathrooms not very clean, shower floors a bit gross. Climbing up to the top bunk was a bit of a challenge .

Liked: Located in the heart of the city

Disliked: - double room very small and has not been cleaned (someone else's rubbish in the bin) - bathrooms were dirty (I have been staying in a lot of hostels but this was definetaly the dirtiest one!) - the building is old and really needs some renovation

Liked: The location of the backpackers is very central

Disliked: If you have no problems with people singing and shouting all night long, if you like smelly old carpets soaked with puke, if cockroaches are your favorite animals, the Maze backpackers is THE place for you! Ok, they advertise it as a party hostel. My bad. That's what you will get.

Disliked: a noisy and dirty place, a lot of drunken people, very small rooms

Liked: there is a really good vibe at that hostel, socialising with others is not difficult and as it is located at one of the main streets in Sydney CBD there is really good nightlife in walking distance. I would recommend it and stay there again.

Disliked: I didn't like that there is too less laundry possibilities given in relation to the amount of rooms. But that's just something which shouldn't influence your decision of staying there.

Liked: Took me half an hour to check out. At one point was 4 staff behind the counter but none of them offered to help were busy with other things other than servIng at the front desk. The cleaning process is to wipe a towel across whatever is being cleaned toilets, sinks, floors and kitchen not very hygienic actually made me not cook within the facilities the whole time I was there. In saying that I do think you get what you pay for n for the price if your ok with not eating in it's actually not that bad.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: partys, dinner, activities organised every day!!

Disliked: mattresses= sooo bad, but a week after I left they were getting new one, so should be fine by now :)

Liked: Brilliant location, fun atmosphere, not too noisy (as we'd feared), free drinks vouchers were usable, free weekly meal.

Disliked: Room was a bit small, the usual Oz internet rip-off, upstairs bathrooms were a bit grubby, had to wait over an hour to check-in.

Liked: The hostel had lots of different things on to do every evening and the kitchen wasn't too dirty.

Disliked: Our room was right next to the main road and the windows were very thin and draughty so we could hear lots of music from the bars and traffic noise. I also didn't like the fact that they made us have two keys even though my partner and I wanted only one key. They said it was their policy for us to have a key each which is a little pointless.

Liked: Little at all... spent no time there.. had to pay for a key deposit and everything...

Disliked: There was vommit down the wall in the room, bed matress was beyond burst and damaged.. sheets unclean, foul smell, poor toilet facilities.. A disgrace of a place..

Liked: This was a really fun place to stay. I thought it had a lot of character and charm and the location was great.

Disliked: It is an older building that they worked at keeping clean, but it was not always in the best shape. Some of the showers were cold, but ask the other guests and they'll tell which ones to use.

Liked: A busy cheap hostel with helpful staff in a great location.

Disliked: dirtiest rooms I have ever seen in a hostel, no power points in rooms, poor security and not a lot to do. Couldn't wait to pay a bit more and go back to my previous hostel. The staff were nice though and I met some good crew so not too bad if good location is your priority.

Liked: It was cheap.

Disliked: Bed was a little uncomfortable, I could feel the springs!. And the toilets in the morning were very dirty.

Liked: Location was very helpful in the way that most things that we wanted to see and do were walking distance away. The activities that went on daily were always exciting and provided a little extra bonding between all of the interesting people staying at the backpackers.

Disliked: One of the things that they advertise is a free meal some nights. However on the nights that this happened they would always seem to underestimate the amount of people staying at their backpackers and would therefore be short. This just meant that the people that waited in line for lengthy amounts of time, ended up with a very small amount in comparison, or nothing at all.

Disliked: Too many stars - heavy luggage, I don't know what was wrong with internet - I spent 5 AUD for nothing

Liked: they upgraded us! clean, helpful front desk staff (the girl who also works at worldsquare hostel).

Disliked: literally arrived 11.30. slept and left at 7am. wish we could have stayed longer
