Liked: loved my stay at the maze only stayed one nite but had so much fun the staff were so friendly an helpful at check in the lady was really nice then at check out girl was so helpful in giving me directions and making another booking to come back i think her name was amy! will defo be back to stay longer as would like to experience all the activities they have going on, oh an use my drinks vouchers:)

Disliked: showers were ok but could do with bit more power to them apart from that nothing

Disliked: Room was tiny and not clean. It should also mention that private rooms dont come with an ensuite bathroom!

Liked: The location is pretty good

Disliked: I was not allowed check in until 4pm with no apology, just that the rooms wernt ready, when i went to my room it was still dirty. The people here were not very nice. It was a bank holiday wkend so I understood there was going to be a party but the party went out until 2am with girls screaming at the tops of their voices constantly, I felt after midnight the staff should have asked to be quiet until I noticed that the staff were all mid party also. I felt very unsafe here as a girl travelling by myself.. was surrounded by illegal substances and could not leave my room without someone shouting abuse at me in the communal areas. No plugs in the rooms, dirty beds. rooms so small and they say it was cheapest hostel in Sydney but at 30 dollars a night i fel like i was being robbed. Have been travelling for over a year and am very open minded and this was BY FAR the worst hostel iv stayed in. I felt so unsafe and it was horrible. The events organiser (leon i think) did his job well but that was probably the only good thing i can say about the place. If you are a group then it may be ok but as a single traveller it is way too intimidating. But location is good.

Liked: Good location, internet facilities

Disliked: no free towels, no goody bag, and I had to ask for the free breakfast vouchers, not very clean, loud, window in the room couldnt close fully.

Liked: Unfortunately there was no electricity at the time we were staying there as it was under repair. Even so, there were not sockets in every room as it was which was not particularly helpful. Staff were great and very helpful! Rooms were average but good value for money and comfortable enough.

Disliked: My initial room had a broken bed but the staff were helpful and up-graded me. There was no lift!!!

Disliked: the showers were a disgrace and the place was in a mess. our room was so basic and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. our room was also above a noisy bar with music blaring till stupid o'clock. not an enjoyable experience. the place is relatively cheap and it shows. wouldnt go back

Liked: Nothing to be honest

Disliked: It was filthy, the window in my room would not close properly and was falling off. I also got an electrical shock from their power sockets when charging my mobile phone. I would really not recommend this to anyone. The bed clothes had not been changed prior to my arrival, nor had my room been cleaned. I have asthma and almost had an attack from the dust mites in the room and got bitten by bed bugs. The toilets are also filthy as are the showers and look like they have not been cleaned for several months. Also I found a used condom under my bed. Really poor hygeine and very bad customer service and no assistance with luggage.

Liked: It was in a great location

Disliked: I disliked the atmosphere and the social rooms weren't very nice and badly equipped. It was too noisy at night, there was no electricity in the rooms. The bedroom wasn't very clean. The kitchen and seating area next to it closed to early.

Disliked: The matress which had the coils visble and was totally crap It was changed on request but the replacement was only marginally better. They are refurbishing,but obviously bedding is not high on the to do list

Liked: My expectations were for the worst, but the actual experience was not too bad. Sure, the building is quite ugly - but it is extremely cheap. Sure, the location is ugly too - near a central station, a worldwide bad place - but it is very central near to all public transport facilities Sure, there is no heating - but in all Sydney it is so. I had no experience of disturbances during the night - but surely the staff and the whole timetable at the Hostel does not discourage drunkness and useless partying. So, it is what it worth: cheap price, cheap stay. The bathrooms were cleaned quite regularly during the day - at least the men's ones. I never use the kitchen. And the towel is effectively free, as the hairdryer (deposit).

Liked: Very central and cheap

Disliked: No sockets in rooms at all, had to buy 3m extension lead and also windows are very poor, you hear everything from the streets below!

Liked: It was cheap, SO close to the bus station, cheap, close to the water and to downtown, and it was cheap.

Disliked: Do NOT stay at this hostel if you have back problems. This was the absolute most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The bathrooms were a bit gross, but that's pretty par for the course. The room was freeeezing, and I live in Canberra!

Disliked: No power points in rooms is a serious hazard to security and safety. However I think they are fixing.
