Liked: Half of the staff were excellent. The usual staff I deal with were as always extremley accomodating- going above and beyond what they had to. The atmosphere was not party atmosphere and this is not the best place to stay in the hopes of meeting new people and celebrating every night but that is exactly what i loved about it. It meant no troublesome guests and each night was quiet, peaceful.

Liked: I was very impressed with the mountbatten, from the outset , the outside entrance is very clean and nicely lite , the staff were very helpful and the factilies were very clean, the next time I visit sydney i will be going back to the Mountbatten.

Liked: I chose this hostel based on previous reviews that it was a quiet hostel which was just what i needed as i had an exam on the monday. The guests are quiet however the hostel is by a busy road and part sydney. I had a private room which fine, the sheet felt very clean and the bed was really very comfy. All rooms have TV s which is a bonus and wireless access to the internet. There are no computers at the hostel but guest were happy to share their laptops. The Kitchen was good and the dining room is small but good as everyone gets chatting and i meet some nice people during my quick weekend visit to Sydney. The Dining room also has a TV. There is free breakfast and tea and coffee throughout the day. The hostel provides free showergel/shampoo but i would bring your own and the bathroom were clean and hot water but they could do with being a bit more private. The shower doors didn t have looks.Its is a good place for people travelling and working or for students but it is not a party hostel.
