Overview

Avoca Lodge offers fresh accommodation with a family style atmosphere which is clean, comfortable and very affordable directly opposite the Randwick Hospital complex.

Experience Sydney like a local at Avoca Lodge, a boutique lodge close to Coogee Beach in Sydney, Australia. With public transport close by, it’s just 20 minutes by bus to get to the exciting Sydney CBD and stunning Sydney Harbor. Coogee Beach is a 10 minute walk from the lodge.

The hotel offers comforts such as wireless internet access, televisions and en-suites in every room.

Spend the day at the beach, shop in the city or try some of the amazing food in and around the local streets of eastern Sydney. Avoca Lodge is a great place to stay to experience the real Sydney on a budget.

We are situated just 5 km from the city and 10 km from Sydney airport, the suburb of Randwick is one of Sydney's premium precincts. With shopping, restaurants and entertainment, Randwick is a very popular spot with visitors and Sydney-siders. Part of its appeal is the fact that it is a central hub for Clovelly Beaches and Coogee Beaches as well as Kensington with its thriving university lifestyle.

Deep in the heart of Randwick is an area known as "The Spot" - an up and coming little micro-village that hosts some of the best restaurants in the area. Located at the intersection of Perouse Road and St Paul's Street, The Spot is a breeze to get to by public transport and is only a short distance from the City of Sydney and its bustling CBD. Shopping, eating and soaking up the atmosphere, The Spot is perfect for friends or families. Before taking in a film at one of Sydney's top independent cinemas, The Randwick Ritz, why not try one of the twenty-five restaurants and cafés, which offer cuisine from just about every part of the globe.

Ducking down to Coogee for a wander or a swim is another option. Learn to surf or sit back and enjoy a coffee in the sun while you watch the world go by. Hop on the Bondi & Bay Explorer bus and take in a tour of the Eastern Suburbs and learn why this little part of the country is one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world. PAYMENT POLICY: FIRST NIGHT WILL BE CHARGED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. THE REMAINING BALANCE IS PAYABLE DIRECTLY TO THE HOTEL ON ARRIVAL. If you do not wish to settle the remaining balance of your booking on arrival, a credit card imprint of the remaining balance will be required before you are able to check in to your room. If the credit card details provided for the deposit are found to be invalid, the hotel will allow 48 hours for a new card to be given. If no charge can be made from the original or new card given, the booking will be cancelled. CHECK-IN POLICY: A VALID CREDIT CARD AND IDENTIFICATION IN THE SAME NAME THAT THE ROOM WAS BOOKED UNDER WILL BE REQUIRED OF THAT PERSON ON ARRIVAL. If the credit card and/or identification presented on arrival are not in the same name of the booking, or if the person checking in is not the person who's name the room was booked under, check-in to the room will be denied. The credit card used to pay the deposit will need to be sighted upon check in. If your booking includes dates between 29th December and 1st January inclusive, a non-refundable deposit of the full amount of your stay will be taken when the booking is made. CANCELLATION POLICY: FREE OF CHARGE UP TO 48 HOURS PRIOR TO 2PM ON YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. Any booking modifications, including date changes and/or a full cancellation of your booking made within 48 hours of 2pm on your arrival date will incur a charge of the first night booked. Any booking modifications requested after check in must occur at least 48 hours prior to the change taking place to avoid any charges. Guests with Benefits loyalty bookings can be changed or cancelled up to 24 hours prior to 2pm on the arrival date. Any booking modifications within 24 hours of 2pm of the arrival date will incur a charge of the first night booked.
