Disliked: Not very clean, they did not really change the linen and sheets after some guests from our dorm left. Comment of the cleaning girl: we do this every week only, not after every guest.

Liked: Easy to get into the city, good sized dorm rooms, front door so secure, cheap wifi. Nice park just outside with good view of the city centre.

Disliked: Room smelt of damp and was quite dirty, shower was the same and needed some repair, bins were only emptied twice in a week.

Liked: You have a fridge in your room.

Disliked: The room was smelly and had dirty carpets, we were there for 8 nights and not once was the room cleaned. The beds were incredibly poor and not hygienic, we slept in our sleeping bags for the duration for fear of bed bugs. The kitchen is very small with only one sink! There are not enough gas stations for cooking and you have to constantly wait for people as there is only one small table to prepare food. One good thing is that you have a fridge in your room.The staff do not seem to understand the procedure involved with picking up travelers from the airport using the shuttle bus service. We were made to wait for 90 minutes due to incorrect information provided to us and no apology offered once we arrived. Also, the hostel does have laundry however, you have to share this with them! They do all the laundry in-house using the same washers and dryers that should be for the guests! On the day I needed to do laundry, I had to go to reception and help the guy move the stuff out of the machines and put my washing in. There were piles and piles of the sheets everywhere. Why they do not use a professional cleaning service is beyond me. I would only recommend staying at this property if you are in Sydney for 2 nights, any longer and its a struggle.

Liked: The staff are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms for the guests that do not have ensuite bedrooms are nice and clean and relatively new. It seemed like there was plenty of equipment in the kitchen if you did not go at really busy times, compared to other hostels which usually have very little. The Internet is free for the first 24 hours, and although you have to pay after this, it's for a reasonable amount of $3 for 24 hours. The location is also perfect, really close to central station, so easy to get anywhere.

Disliked: We stayed the first three nights in a 5 bed dorm which was a bit run down but ok, the bathrooms were communal but this was fine as iit seemed they were recently renovated and were clean. When we decided to book an extra night we were told that we could not stay in the room, but we could get a free upgrade to a 4 bed ensuite room, we thought this would be great. But the room was small, and the bathroom disgusting the room also smelt really badly of damp and generally did not seem very clean, therefore if you are looking to book here I would recommend you go for the cheaper option and get a dorm room with separate bathroom. The only other negative is that the building is similar to a house with 3 storeys, and when you have a heavy suitcase or backpack, it isn't much fun climbing to the top when there is no lift.

Liked: Fairly cheap airport transfer

Disliked: They told us before the booking we could get into the room at 11am. When we arrived tired after an overseas flight, they told us we would have to wait after all.

Liked: We stay in ensuite, very clean and get all-in-one facilities in room except kitchen!! Staff is very friendly and kind!

Disliked: The eletricity goes in kitchen when the microwave n toaster use at the same time.

Disliked: The location is not bad near central station but still a 20-30 minute walk from the main attractions and kings cross

Liked: Great location. Clean rooms, not super nice but what you can expect from a budget accomodation. Aircondition in the rooms. The ability to choose a private room. Free airport pick-up. Resonable price for Wifi.

Disliked: Not super nice rooms. Common area only outside, nice if it's warm enough ouside and it was during my stay.

Disliked: Taps dripping in both rooms. Bathrooms could have been cleaner. Coffee and tea not available. Fridge was disgusting.

Liked: It was close to everywhere we wanted to go and the girls at reception were very friendly and helpful. We just were after somewhere to sleep and stay without the expense.

Disliked: the pillows and doonas were very old and didnt seem very hygienic

Liked: Internet was cheap on the one out of three computers that worked, also the receptionist on our first night was very helpful

Disliked: We got to the room and smell was disgusting where the shower plug isn't big enough for the water output causing the water to drain out into the room onto the carpet which must have been happening for a long time. The beds had hair all over them and the bin hadn't been changed although the receptionist was quick to change them and was very nice and apologetic. The location was ok although still plenty other options closer to the center. 24 hours free wifi pass was appreciated but after that runs out the computers downstairs are cheap but only 1 out of 3 worked when we wanted to use them. When getting ready to go out on our last night we had a plumber come in to look at the shower with another receptionist causing us to be delayed. Both receptionists said the smell was disgusting and unacceptable but that didn't seem to matter enough to refund some of our cash. One plus was it was a peaceful night sleep sound wise at least.

Liked: The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly with queries. There was a really relaxed atmosphere about the place.

Disliked: The main annoyance was the communal eating area, which was next to the smoking area outside. Not a particularly nice eating area as it was (a bit cold!) but I strongly recommend the outside area at the back be changed to non-smoking. At the very least just at the fence next to the dining area ought to be non-smoking.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Bathroom fittings were quite new and very clean. Good access to city cente.

Disliked: The beds were very uncomfortable- metal frame and thin mattresses. We had to use our inflatable mattresses on top in order to get a good nights sleep.

Liked: Really pleased with what I got. Great staff, great location and facilities were more than I expected for what I paid.

Disliked: Bits were a little 'tired' but all facilities are there.
