Liked: Clean double rooms. We booked room with shared but got private. Good staff, ok location. Easy to recommend.

Liked: Very good location (10min from central station at an easy-walk). Reasonably clean, decent facilities. Only stayed one night, so not sure on atmosphere. The staff were very helpful, however.

Liked: Location not great - Prince Alfred Park is a building site and hostel 20mins sweaty walk from Central Station AWAY from the best parts of the city."Cosy" = tiny cramped roomsShowers haven't been cleaned since they were built.But - good kitchen with lots of pots and plates. Free internet, nice staff.

Liked: I stayed at Alfred Park for five days in January 2010 after seeing recommendations by fellow travelers online. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable staying here, it was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. The location is great, not in the center of all the chaos, but a very short walk to the sights and public transportation. Good value for the money!

Liked: Very helpfull and friendly staff, Nice airconditioned rooms, Nice clean and well equiped kitchen, Fun neighboorhood with shops and restaurants and good proximity to the city centre, Cheapest hostel i could find in Sydney!

Liked: Is only a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre. Helpful staff. Could do with more cutlery but other than that i had enjoyable stay. Good place to meet fellow travellers.

Liked: very good value for money. basic but everything you could need is here. although its a slight walk into town its a lot cheaper than any that are located in town, and you can easily walk it in 10 mins. would definatly recommened this hostel

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful and my mattress was new. My parents bed was well below optimum. Old, thin mattress and you could feel the beems underneith. The common area was nice and the kitchen was cleaned every day. They advertise a pool accross the road. This is a public pool and currently under construction.

Liked: Nice people, clean rooms with all the good basic stuff you need. Also a really good place to meet people. Just your typical, no frills backpackers
