Liked: Location is great - close to Central station (and access to trains and buses including the free CBD shuttle) and across the road from Prince Edward Park. The single room i booked turned out to be a twin with ensuite and was very cosy and quiet.

Disliked: I wasn't there long enough to find anything to dislike - if anything the room numbering is a bit weird - my room was in a pretty illogical place (but then i arrived after reception closed so had to find my own way there)

Liked: I liked the location very much. Only 2 minutes from central and 10 minutes from town. You also get free washing powder. The receptionists were very polite and friendly.

Disliked: The internet connection was terrible. The kitchen was small and didn't have an oven. There was no locker in the room and we had to wait for a couple of days to get one. We had to walk outside (wet if raining) to the bathroom. Despite being cheaper than others, they couldn't charge more.

Liked: Very cheap compared to other sydney hostels and close enough walking distance to the centre of sydney.

Disliked: No social area so not good for meeting people.

Liked: All staff is always ready to help you.

Disliked: Will we should have to ask for someone clean my room (a single/private room)? Is it not obvious that it should be done everyday? And why do they clean the bathroon only a few days a week? And never the computer keyboard (they are greasy); and probably never the curtains?

Liked: they arranged a late check in for us (after midnight), free wifi

Disliked: it maybe close to the central station, but not in walking distance from everything else (supermarket, tourist area, "cbd") and since the free shuttle city busses don't run until after 3.30pm (6pm on weekends) it is a long walk to the CBD. our room smelled very bad, but we were given an air refresher upon request. room wasn't cleaned daily.

Liked: Cannot speak too highly about the friendliness and quality of service afforded by Analise the reception person.

Disliked: It didn't meet my expectation that tea and coffee would be available in a private room.

Liked: the property is convienint for people who travelled by train, its rooms are basic but have everything you need.

Disliked: t.v didnt have a remote and was blury at times.

Liked: It had clean large dorms with en suit bathroom. Free 24 hrs of Internet and to get into the premisis you had to have a key which stopped randoms walking in. They also kept my baggage for the day free of charge. Which was so helpful.

Disliked: There isn't anything I really disliked. The floor was a it slippy out of the shower but other then that there are no complaints.

Liked: The atmosphere was nice; everyone spoke with each other.

Disliked: My room was dirty and very moist; everything felt wet. There was no hand soap in the bathroom.

Liked: Great views of the Prince Alfred Park and is within easy reach of central station. A nice little balcony above the hostel gives people chance to relax and take in the view of the city.

Disliked: The rooms could have done with refurnishing to make them a bit more homely.

Liked: Tidy rooms, helpful staff, good cooking facilities.

Disliked: Not a particularly exciting crowd staying there. As a single traveller I hoped to meet people to go out for dinner/drinks with but no-one there was keen. Could have been unlucky but I got the feeling it was more of a place that people were staying whilst working.

Liked: It was really close to central station and the free bus which takes you round the CBD. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: lack of storage space in the rooms- if there was more than 2 people in a four bed dormitory there was stuff everywhere! Some shelves or lockers in the rooms would have been good. There were lockers downstairs but they were mostly taken up by people staying long term.

Liked: The people were very helpful, I left my Jacket there nd the emailed me to say they had found it and kept it safefor me to pick it up. We were also given a room with en-siute even thought we hadnt paid for it . Its a good place

Disliked: It was a bit of a walk from the train station with our bags but other wise no problems at all

Liked: Free internet was provided, with the option to use either the hostel's desktops or wifi on own mobile phone. The beds and toilet were clean, and staffs were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Kitchen could be cleaner and more common toilets made available.

Liked: I moved to Sydney for a job and this hostel is in a fantastic place, it’s under 10mins walk to the station through Albert Park, which has quite a few facilities (tennis courts, basketball courts and a path that you can run around). From Central station its only 10-15 minutes train ride to the bridge and opera house and the only another 5 minutes to the main shopping area. As for the hostel its fine the kitchen has all the utensils you need but it doesn’t not have an oven, but at BBQ. The room I had was a private with my own shower and it was fine, the shower had limited pressure and it is very temperamental, it seems to switch from burning hot to cold on its own accord and! If your room gets dirty, just tell reception and the will come and clean it for you! In the room I had cloths rail, TV, mini fridge aircon and a heater. This has been my first stay in hostel and the room has been very good for the price. I’ve also seen the dorm room and they are fine, not too many people saying at the hostel so it’s like 2 people per 4 person room in some cases. Most of the people have been here for a while and are really nice and friendly. It’s a bit of a quite hostel now because its winter, so it’s nice if you have a full time Job! At the weekend you get and influx of people just staying for a few days, so you get some fresh faces around the place. Ten it’s back to the regular faces through the week. Over all I’ve been really pleased with my stay and the view at night, over the park and looking at the back of Sydney City is really nice.

Disliked: Just the show in my private room, not enough pressure!

Liked: The location near the Central Station is excellent, the linen is clean, the staff are kind and helpful

Disliked: There were some fixtures broken in the bathroom; the worst thing was noise at different times until 2 am., which usually made for broken sleep. In the rooms there was nothing to hand a coat on, and nowhere to put anything - a few hooks and shelves would help

Liked: Normally I don't write hostel reviews, but after half a year of only travelling in OZ and seeing a lot of hostels, this one is definetely one of the best!! I came back 2 times after the first time and it felt like coming home. - WELL equiped kitchen - own fridge and television in room - staff is super friendly, helpful and always in for a chat :) - free internet offer when you check in - clean

Disliked: The only thing that I can think of that might be negative is that some rooms are at the small side

Liked: Quiet hostel overall.good location.Rooms where comfortable and generally the place was clean

Disliked: Please be aware Showers often flooded putting them out of action completly and bins in the rooms wern't emptied for 4 days on one occassion.Owners could have put themselves out to have been a bit more friendlier

Liked: A decent hostel in Sydney. There were the usual facilities with a decent kitchen and outside area to relax. Bathrooms had just been updated.

Disliked: Room could have been cleaner with the bin emptied more often.

Liked: The staff were just SO helpful. Best ever. The place was opposite a park & a short walk to Central Sydney railway station. Free city tour bus outside to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House & whilst there, a P&O Cruise ship went ambling past! What else could one want???We were there for 4 nights, leaving at 7am each day, out all day attending a full on Seminar, arriving back at 10.30pm daily just to sleep. Showers all brand new too by look of things. WiFi free...wooowoooh!

Disliked: Nothing much really, so for 20 bucks a night in central Sydney, it's great value.
