The Alfred Park Hotel is a beautifully restored heritage building built in 1848 for a whaling boat captain. Alfred Park is under new management and we really want to be at the top end of the business. To start with, all rooms have been renovated! No dark, damp rooms in this joint! All rooms and dorms are air conditioned too!

We are located close to Central Railway Station just opposite Prince Alfred Park, a beautiful
and huge park , which has its own swimming pool , basketball courts and tennis courts. Chinatown, Darling Harbour, Centrepoint Tower and Sydney's main shopping centre are just a brisk walk away. We are also within walking distance of the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, Centennial Park and the new Fox Studios. Trains, buses and taxi fares to these places are also very reasonable.

The Hostel Office is open for check-in from 7:30a.m - 10p.m. Check in outside these hours can be arranged and we have a 24 hour caretaker on site.
Checkout time is 10a.m on the day of departure.
