The Globe is a unique hostel, being small and owner operated, we offer a comfortable and friendly style of backpacker accommodation where you can meet new friends and see the best of Sydney. Reception will close at 4pm on 26 January for Australia Day! please arrive before 4pm!

The Globe are currently updating our rooms to have sofa's, TV's and DVD players. Your comfort through these chilly nights is our main priority!

Are you looking for more than just a bed to sleep in?

Located in Sydney’s favorite Backpacker quarter, Kings Cross, The Globe can offer you the Sydney experience you are looking for. Whether you enjoy the cosmopolitan lifestyle of the café set, the nightclub scene or a good book in a quiet park, we’ve got it all for you. A brief walk will take you through the Botanical Gardens to the Opera House and harbor or a 20 minute bus trip will take you to the popular Bondi Beach.

Apart from offering you the facilities of a fully equipped kitchen, full bathrooms as well as a shower block and laundry we also have 3 large common areas. Our private outdoor Courtyard where you can relax or have fun at our BBQ’s, our TV room where you can watch cable on our massive big screen TV and the world famous Blue Room where we like to party or watch sports on our other big cable TV.

Yes we have our own party room just for you…

On our doorstep are all the extras you need – cheap food, cheap & free drinks, bars, supermarkets, banks, a post office, parks and some of the most famous sights in Australia.

The Globe’s staff are happy to assist you in finding work, planning tours and helping you with all of the information you may need once you arrive in Sydney.

We organize great nights out at our favorite local bars where you will be treated to free drinks and quite often a free meal. The Globe BBQ’s and parties are also something not to be missed.

The Globe’s lively atmosphere guarantees that you will enjoy yourself while you stay with us!

A Free shuttle pick up from the airport is available between 8am to 6pm [minimum 4 night stay] – please call from the airport upon arrival.

Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm then 3pm to 8pm
Saturday & Sunday 9am to 1pm then 3pm to 7pm
[Occasionally we do close early for special events]

No late arrivals.

24 hour security.

You must be 18 years of age to stay at this property.

We recommend our hostel to travelers between the ages of 18 to 40 due to our location and energetic character!

A valid passport is required by all guests upon check in.
