Liked: Everthing was very nice, clean, staff efficient and helpful, being across the road from Central Station was a real bonus. The breakfast was adequate.

Liked: The staff were all lovely and helpful, the beds were comfortable and clean, the showers were clean with good water pressure (!), and the whole building felt very secure. Even though it is not a cheap place to stay (comparatively), you do get what you pay for in Sydney and so it is so much better than many of the other cheaper hostels in the area.

Disliked: Because it's open to familes, you can't drink alcohol in your rooms - even if you have the whole room under a single booking. That being said, there are some pretty cool bars in walking distance so it doesn't really matter. Also, the some of the shower stalls weren't as clean as I had expected given the hostel's 5* rating.

Liked: Great position, 2 minute walk from Central Station. 8 bed dorm was good, private light per bed and lockable lockers - padlocks supplied if asked. Shower was nice and hot, place was full of backpackers, plenty of people to talk to and party with.

Liked: Nice size lounge area, had on cinema and was close to all the attractions in Sydney

Disliked: Items stolen from fridge, staff gave breakfast voucher but the food was stolen was 3 days worth( $30.)

Liked: Location was perfect to do just about anything in Sydney

Disliked: The only complaint I had is the very awkward picture of the luna park face on the wall. It's creepy.

Liked: Location, quality of hostel interior and utilities.

Disliked: Tv lounge was not as usefully located within the hostel as other YHAs.

Liked: Easy to find, good access to all parts of the city.

Disliked: Have been a YHA member for 20 years. Object to paying for luggage storage for a couple of hours because the rooms aren't ready when they should be. That's not what hostelling used to be about!

Liked: clean, big with lots going on and helpful staff. good location

Disliked: we were in a double ensuite superior room on the eighth floor and to say it was hot would be an understatment, there was only aircon that was not controlled by us and was mostly blowing hot air and windows would not open, this made it very hard to sleep at night. would suggest aircon facilities are improved.

Liked: Top location near Central station. Nice rooms. Plenty of facilities.

Disliked: Hadn't cleaned the bathroom. Had a skiddy in the toilet. But were really good with it and they fixed it up in no time once we mentioned it.

Liked: Really clean rooms and bathrooms, kitchen is large and usually well equipped

Disliked: Room swipe cards were temperamental and kept locking me and some other people out of my room / bathrooms No spatulas in kitchen (pancakes !!) and on themed nights most of cutlery was taken away.

Liked: Fantasic showers, rooms, reception staff were great even at a half four in the morning check out!

Disliked: Lockers in the room didn't have locks - locks could be added - would be GREAT!

Liked: Good value, clean accommodation. Location is quite central and staff generally pretty helpful.

Disliked: Probably a bit more 'hotelish' than your traditional backpackers and not as much opportunity to meet others.

Liked: The room was clean, the lockers fit your whole rucksack in which is good. The kitchen is clean and there's plenty of room for your things in the fridge.

Disliked: It's not very social and the staff at reception could have been more friendly. I also thought the showers should be cleaned more.

Liked: most luxurous hostel I ever stayed in

Disliked: Internet use expensive

Liked: Location and excellent bed and shower in the ensuite rooms.

Disliked: Unnecessary noise in the passageway with people using internet skype and plugging into hallway powerpoints. Residents leaving kitchen untidy and messy.

Liked: Very clean, with spacious lockers and enough bathrooms and showers, large facilities.

Disliked: Bit pricey, and they have no locker room - you have to pay for expensive lockers if you're early, or have to wait for your ride after check out.
