Disliked: The owner were rude and the keydeposit is 100 dollars! The hostel is.right next to several stripclubs , it felt like anyone could walk in and out of the hostel. Most of the time there were either kids who screamed(not infants) or adult talking very loud with no signs of respect for others, constantly smelled like smoke.. the firemen came once but the hostelowner told my sick friend to stay in the room even though there was a possibility of dangerous smoke. Have been to many cheap hostels but this was the worst, avoid it at all costs!

Liked: location
Disliked: The rooms were not clean, have a lot of cockroachs!!! That's so terrible!!! I told the staff, 'The cockroach is on e bed, pls change bed sheet and pillow cases.' He didn't change it and very rude, say coarse language with me!!! And the internet always not work!!! That is not match with the website.

Liked: only that it was directly oppositer kings cross station
Disliked: rude, extreamily unprofessional staff. hostel was filthy in every room, kitchen was too unclean to cook in and our room unhabitable. we had to ask for our bedding to be washed and the bathroom to be cleaned because it was clear that it hadnt been done prior to our arrival. we cleaned the entire room ourselves and the cloth was black with dirt!

Liked: Location is perfect, just opposite to the train station. It is very easy for us to find some restaurants nearby. Owner is very helpful.
Disliked: The room is dirty, need a vaccum. Shower curtain should be added in the room.

Liked: Near a station. The owner is spanish, like me so the comunication was easier.
Disliked: Dirty, small, in a horrible place full of drugs, prostitution, etc.

Liked: Location and helpfulness of the staff. The owner and manager were very friendly and approachable.
Disliked: We had the last room available at Aussie Lodge but also it seemed the whole of Sydney due to a busy grand final weekend. The room was advertised and confirmed when booked as ensuite however it was a shared bathroom with 3 other rooms. I found cockroachs in the room on the second night and bathroom. I told the owner and he thanked me for telling him, advising he would sort this out and said he had recently taken over the establishment. He seemed genuine. When asked if we could stay and extra night he offered another room with a shower and hopefully no cockroaches... There was no cockroaches!
