Liked: Cheap. internet in rooms( not WiFi - am old pc)

Disliked: Poorly managed - people do what they like, drink ,smoke in rooms etc etc - no rules are enforced - instead there are signs saying if you act anti - socially you MIGHT be evicted - guess what? I MIGHT win the lottery but its highly unlikely. Full of young Brits of , lets say not exactly graduate level intelligence ( and I am British so can comment ) who live like pigs. Staff try hard but its woefully understaffed - you have to go outside to access the kitchen so you can imagine how lovely that gets when it rains!

Liked: Was right on the bus line out the front door.

Disliked: Unclean conditions, run down building, trash thrown on ground in hallways by residents, gross kitchen

Liked: small dorms (only four people), very quiet, free photocopying and printing, cheap phone use.

Disliked: lack of cleaning done. They only clean when people check out, so you have to buy cleaning supplies off them to clean it yourself. I've stayed at about 100 different hostels and I have never had to scrub my own floors!

Liked: My stay in Glebe at the Rooftop Traveller's Lodge was fantastic!! Located on the best street in Sydney (full of AMAZING restaurants), it is walking distance from everywhere so I spent very little on transport. The reception staff are very helpful, the rooftop dining area has amazing views and is great to meet people, especially around dinner time. The facilities were great with each room fully self contained with everything I needed and free unlimited internet... yes please!! RTL was also the cheapest hostel I could find making it great value for money. I would definately recommend this lodge and will be back very, very soon!!

Liked: The staff were friendly but not overly helpful. It was a quiet and comfortable place to sleep but there was no where to hang and be social.

Liked: Free internet access, tv, location, value for money, microwave and kitchen facilities. Lots of places to eat just outside the lodge. Pad thai for 5 dollars just around the corner at Bridge Road. I would recommend this place. Bathroom needed a good hydrochloric acid wash though (mouldy).
