Liked: Neco, the front desk man is quite friendly and easy to talk with.

Disliked: The room have a strange stink smell and some people who stay there still yelling although it was already 1 am. Although there is three bathroom for my floor, only one is workable.

Liked: Really cheap for Sydney and always something to do at nite..location is handy to all main things..very busy and friendly hostel

Disliked: it is very busy cause of low rates so kitchen gets full at main times

Liked: The location

Disliked: Bedroom door didnt lock so anyone could walk in. Toilets always blocked, light bulbs not replaced, showers broken/doesnt work. Kitchen facilities not big enough for hostel size.

Liked: The rooms are nice and clean. Love the high ceilings and lockers in the room.

Disliked: The bathrooms are constantly a wreck. They say that they are cleaned three times a day, so either backpackers are truly filthy or their cleaning skills are sub-par. Kitchen is also pretty small and run-down.

Liked: liked the area it was in and space in bedrooms and my door locked so always felt safe

Disliked: i as told the bathrooms were cleaned 3 times a day this cannot possibly be true, however for $20 a night it was a safe and comfortable place and I would recommend it to thoe on a budget

Liked: Close to the Botanical Gardens and the CBD.

Disliked: The kitchen was dirty and there were only 1 or 2 pots and pans to cater for the whole hostel. The microwaves looked liked they hadn't been cleaned since they'd been bought. The gas was 'turned off' for a whole day without any signs being put up. The lock on our door wasn't working so we had to prop the door open with the bin, it was also over-booked so people had to double up in beds. The staff didnt have a clue what they were doing, there was no communication between them; after we checked out we were told we had another night to pay for, even though we paid on arrival. All in all it was a shambles.

Disliked: The staff we not very friendly or helpfull.

Liked: The bar/cafe that they had was excellent value and was enjoyable.

Disliked: There's no ground floor button in the lift and I am supposed to have knee surgery in a month... It was incredibly hard to walk down all those stairs with my luggage to check out - also, had to wait around for awhile because there was no one at reception... so much for a 24/7 reception......

Liked: Hostel is on fringe of city in a quieter area and is easy to reach either city or Kings Cross. Plenty of things organised ....so meeting new travellers is easy and encouraged :) They also have a cafe on the ground floor that cooks great food that you can actually afford.

Disliked: Hostel is busy and full...no doubt because of cheap prices. Therefore bathrooms and showers can get very used and grotty at times....but they do try and clean them often.

Liked: Excellent price, nice location!

Disliked: It's a big hostel and they try to create a friendly atmosphere. Some guests take it a little too far - but I suppose that is the downside of a more lively hostel!

Disliked: could be cleaner. my door was broken the whole week and i had to ask the people in the reception to open it with the master key almost every time i wanted to go to my room. wish they had something planned for saturday night as well. not my favorite location either

Liked: It was very cheap! It's also quite close to the city and things going on in Sydney. The showers were warm and although there weren't many of them, there didn't ever seem to be a queue to use them.

Disliked: It wasn't very secure although I did feel safe there. People who weren't staying there could easily use the facilities. It was quite confusing too as the hostel staff didn't seem to explain anything. You had to put a deposit down for plates and cutlery which was weird but it did mean there weren't dirty dishes everywhere. The place wasn't the cleanest I've been to, I guess it wasn't the dirtiest either but the place certainly could have done with a good scrub. It's a good place to rest your head if your on a budget I guess but I wouldn't stay there again.

Liked: Hostelmates were cool and I liked the buildling and the setup of the hostel overall. Good experience staying here! Bathrooms were consistently cleaned and kept up with the number of people residing in this hostel.

Disliked: Did not receive any welcome pack as stated, window was completely dirty and roomed had such a strong stench of sweat and dirt it was unsanitary. Definitely was not cleaned everyday windowsills were filthy and floor constantly dirty with same stuff. Stayed there almost a week and saw one vaccuuming of the hostel room. Kitchen filthy; did not use.
