Please note that no refunds will be given during the New Year 2014 period. In the event of the card being declined, they will email you and should funds not be processed on the second attempt, the booking will be cancelled and the bed will be resold.
Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival (local time). Payments made to HostelBookers are non-refundable.

Booking for New Year 2013/2014? Any bookings between 27 Dec 2013- 3 Jan 2014 need to be paid for in full before they are confirmed. We will contact you for the remainder owing and will then confirm your reservation at Elephant Backpacker.
Full remaining payment (90%) to be made or charged by us to guests nominated credit cards 1 month prior to arrival date ie we debited their card on 27 November for the 90% remaining. If the guests' card has insufficient funds we will resell the beds. There's a Minimum 7 day stay - check-in 27 December 2013 check-out 3 January 20134.

At Elephant Backpackers Sydney we have the following room types:

We also have;
Private double rooms
Private twin rooms
(Private rooms consist of a tribunk ie double bed on bottom bunk and single at top). We can place a trundle in the room should you wish to have children or a forth guests but you need to advise us at time of booking.)
We provide commercially laundered sheets and blankets. All beds have a locker, either purchase or supply your own padlock. Each bunk has a bed light. All dorm rooms come with a ceiling fan and heater.
The accommodation rooms are cleaned daily and the bathrooms/toilets are cleaned x2 daily. We have recently installed a new gas water heater so there is plenty of hot water for showers. Bathrooms and toilets are split share (Male/Female) and are located on each accommodation floor. The disabled bathroom is on the ground floor.
The double and single rooms are a single room with a tri bunk. A tri bunk has a double bed on the lower bunk and a single bed on top. Both private room types have a TV and security lockers.

Elephant is located on corner of Sir John Young Crescent and Crown Street, opposite Domain Gardens. The hostel is centrally located between the city centre and Kings Cross.
Our location means you are within 5 minutes walking distance to most of the major attractions in Sydney. These attractions include the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Kings Cross.
There are a number of boutique pubs and funky eateries located at the newly refurbished Woolloomooloo wharf precinct. Or you may like to stay in and try our cuisine in our newly opened cafe & bar - opened until 11 pm most nights.
Buses and trains are within a 5 minute walk and take you to Bondi Beach and Blue Mountains.
