Liked: Staff very polite, helpful and knowledgable. Safe hotel - small but comfortable rooms, with only 3 or 4 people to a room, rather than the usual 8 to 10 people you usually get.

Disliked: Kings Cross location is a good 20 to 30 minute walk or a bus/train/taxi ride from the city centre and main attractions. The communal lounge area is quite messy and does not seem like it is too well looked after i.e. ripped sofas and some rubbish left around.

Disliked: First of all, we had arrived from a 24 flight to be told to wait to be check-in as the receptionist was counting the till up, so we were left standing there for 10 minutes! Secondly, the room we paid for was a private with a bathroom and own computer in the room, which was what was advertisied on the HostelBookers.com. I also stated a double room - the room was bunk beds, and the hostel only had shared batherooms and no computers in the room. It was filthy!! Looked over the red light district of Kings Cross, noisey and smelly. The security of the building and the room was alarming, and my partner and I only spent on restless night here before moving to more suitable accommadation. We were not issued a refund, as they make you sige a statement before seeing the room so no refunds can be made. I HATED this hostel. I am under no illusion to hostels in Australia, as I travelled around Australia before, but this was a poor excuse of suitable, clean accommadation.

Liked: It was cheap and the staff was friendly, plus the free airport shuttle was very nice! Also, the walls and doors are all painted funky which is cool and the rooms are good size with nice storage!

Disliked: Unless you are traveling to party hard the location is not the greatest!

Liked: Staff were really friendly and helpful, hot showers 24 hrs, good location.

Disliked: Smelled a bit - maybe needs new carpets. Would be better if showers had lockable doors where you can hang your clothes.

Liked: free breakfast was a pleasant surprise and the showers were excellent., plus in our room we had a telly which was great!!!

Liked: friendly and helpfull staff, free internet for 1 houre, free meal in a pub

Disliked: Dirty kitchen, there was a smell in the room. Very noisy at night. a small room for 2 people. the BBQ on wednesday was cancelled; there was pizza, but not enough.

Disliked: It was not very clean and was so large it was difficult to move around and find things. the staff was friendy but it would have been nice if they had explained things a bit better.

Liked: Our house cleaner, a young man, came into our room twice in two hours while we were napping. We told him the first time we didn't need his services, but he came in once again. I thought it a bit strange.

Liked: Outstanding customer service of the staff. Very clean and well maintained. Excellent breakfast. Great atmosphere. They get you great deals and discounts on local pubs/calling cards/internet, and transfers. Great barbecue on the roof top for only 3 dollars! including beer!!

Liked: If you like to go out drinking & you're looking for more of a party hostel, this place would be great. If you want to go to bed early & get up early to go sightseeing, this might not be the best place for you. Also they don't provide towels so bring your own.

Liked: Average Hostel. Not dirty but old and run down like a lot of hostels. No free Beer and no towels and the free internet is down the road somewhere. Location is good for a fun night out but at least a 40min walk into town but easy with transportation. Was not a horrible stay but I wouldn't stay again.
