Staff very polite, helpful and knowledgable. Safe hotel - small but comfortable rooms, with only 3 or 4 people to a room, rather than the usual 8 to 10 people you usually get.

Located in the heart & soul of Sydney, the Funk House is a unique, upbeat hostel famous for its friendly social atmosphere and funky murals. With only 3-4 beds per dorm you can book a room with your mates.
All our doubles and twins have TVs, fridges, fans & doonas. All dorm rooms have fans. The Funk House also has large common areas, TV room with cable and a great quiet rooftop garden area with weekly BBQ's so you can relax & sink a couple of beers while watching the sunset.

If it's nightlife you're after then no problem. Kings Cross' best pubs & clubs are a 1 minute walk away with many of them offering our guests FREE beer vouchers.
