Liked: Really great place to stay if you want to meet people and are sticking around for a few days or more. Courtyard is lovely, staff are wonderful and the place is really homely and comfortable. Good location - Kings Cross is good for nights out and it's a 2 minute walk to the train station. You'll meet some really great people here. Just watch out for the McDonalds eating spider and curtain-twitcher James ;) Would recommend it to anyone.

Liked: Great place to meet people and party (so good if this is your thing). Staff also very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: No air con (open windows onto main street so it was noisy), not much space in the rooms and kitchen, and a bug problem (left with lots of insect bites).

Liked: I loved the atmosphere. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. There was always something to do. I would definitely recommend it to other travelers, especially if they are on their own.

Liked: i have never stayed at a hostel before, and i was quite surprised at how much i liked it. The people who work there are extremely helpful at helping you find whatever it is you want to do. Many trips i took were handled and booked right there at the hostel. It was very convenient and saved me loads of time. Everyone that works there has such a great attitude and it really makes the place feel cozy and warm!

Disliked: The only thing i didnt like is that their was no Air conditioning. I dont mind the heat but i hate to sleep in it. So because their was no A/C we had to keep the windows open, which meant alot of noise and mosquitos (although, their were very few). It was a bit hard to sleep with that, but i adjusted pretty quickly. Honestly the hostel is wonderful, i give it a 9 out of 10.

Liked: It was a lot of fun, the staff were fun, and you just met a lot of people!! particually being there over christmas and new years where you could miss your family but it was made to feel like a family envrioment, particually Donna. will reccommend this place to anyone and will hopefully be there again.

Disliked: I didn't dislike, the only thing was the 10 pm shut of but that wasn't due to the hostel

Liked: It was compact (a pleasant change from some of the sprawling hostels around) and had a good outside area, too.

Disliked: The dorm room got very hot, despite the fans, etc.

Liked: I had a great time here, I used to find it quite hard to meet people etc, this was the first hostel I've stayed in, and everyone there was so friendly, the staff were really helpful and there's stuff going on every day and night for people to get involved in. I hope to stay here again next time I'm in Sydney.

Disliked: Nothing that you wouldn't get in any hostel (people snoring etc)

Liked: Great atmosphere,great people the staff and the travellers. Didn't want to leave. Great facilities great kitchen, comfy beds.Easy to get a good nights sleep. Highly recommend this one

Liked: I had the best week in Sydney, mostly because of the people I met in the hostel. This is the best place to go if you're travelling alone. Other than that Blue Parrot also has a free internet and a great TV room. I can recommend this place to everyone, and the next time I'll go to Sydney I'm sure to stay at Blue Parrot again.

Disliked: Probably the toilets and showers could've been tidier, but honestly it wasn't too bad. :D

Liked: Loved this hostel! We moved here from another hostel in Sydney and prefer Blue Parrot so much more. Very glad we moved. It is very clean, rooms cleaned daily. Well equiped kitchen, never seemed too busy. Has nice common room with sofas and sky tv to relax in - good place to chat to people too. Offers free internet which is a big plus as most places charge 1 dollar for 15 mins. Its in a quiet area, but bars and shops are really close by, and its only a metro ride into the CBD. I like that it is fairly small so feels homely, which is nice after travelling for a few months. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Would most definately return if in Sydney again.

Liked: The people and the location, definitely a place where everyone hangs out together, very accommodating. Love the courtyard too, I spend so many hours there chatting, in fact im still here now typing this review. AWESOME

Disliked: Maybe a little less space in rooms than in other hostels Ive stayed, but its no biggie. I also wanted to stay longer but was fully booked, but thats what you get for being an awesome hostel.
