Liked: i have heard a lot of really good things about wakeup but it was way better than i expected. the beds were actually comfy! showers were great and the place was really clean. There was always something fun going on - I did the city walk which was really good. Loved the band in sidebar too.

Disliked: I had a girl in my room who snored all night, but I guess that's not really wakeups fault!

Liked: wakeup was the nicest hostel i've stayed in. clean, fun, great staff, and loved sidebar. had the best time there, wish i could have stayed longer. ill def be back!

Disliked: too noisy, no sleep during the night especially because of the vibration of the buildings coming from the disco pub underground

Liked: It was very convienent for us on our 1st 2 nights in the city! Bit pricey we thought! Rooms were fine, shower facilites were good. SOme of the staff were very helpful!

Liked: Easy to find right next to central station. New and clean rooms, hallways and bathrooms. Good size kitchen and good laundrey rooms.

Disliked: Only two elivators and no stairs.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff, really secure - need room key to use the lift and rooms have good size lockers, everything was clean and the location was great.

Disliked: I was on the 1st floor so could hear noise from the bar til the early hours, and the TV room was also on my floor which at night was used as a place to drink so there was sometimes a lot of noise. Also think the kitchen should be bigger as it's always packed at tea time and there's not enough room for everyone's food in the fridges.

Liked: the locatiion was great ,not a problem finding it from the train station.the bathroom the bathroom facilities were great and up to a high standard,felt like our belongings and ourselves were safe at wake up

Liked: It was super clean and surprisingly quite. The staff were friendly and hostel is easy to find, right next to central station.

Disliked: The elevators took a little while, but just glad there were elevators.

Liked: clean, comfortable rooms. cheap food and drink in the basement bar. Helpful staff, good breakfast.

Disliked: A bit noisy at night, lots of people coming and going all the time and could hear the bar music on the 6th floor. More for the under 21s than over 30s!

Disliked: Single Room was much too expensive. The music from the Side Bar was still hearable in the sixth floor!!

Liked: really good hostel- very big though, but run like a hotel, it's very well organised.

Disliked: May be too big for some people, like those who prefer small, cozier hostels.

Liked: It is very clean. The keycards, which also operate the elevator brings a nice sense of security

Disliked: No communal areas to mention. Yes there is a kitchen, but it is not allowed to have a beer with your food there. No couches, no outdoor area. No place to just sit and chat with fellow travellers except from the bar, where of course you had to buy drinks.

Liked: Very clean - compares well to other hostels i've stayed in

Disliked: Little lack of character - you won't have the full "backpacker" feel of other, smaller places. The bar/club downstairs is the only place apart from the kitchen in which people meet.

Liked: Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff, brilliant bar down stairs, great facilities and a nice cafe. It was the best hostel I ever stayed at.

Liked: i looooved wakeup. its almost got hotel standards. stayed in a 10 ppl dorm , was really clean and big. the showers and toilets in each floor were clean and always available. the kitchen and tv room was very good. side bar was really good and so was the cafe. very happy with my stay there :)

Disliked: that one of the lifts didnt work and sometimes we'd have to wait for 7 mins or so before it came. and then it would stop at many floors. was annoying but manageable

Liked: It was clean. The staff were amazing and very helpful. It was very secure. Excellent location. The list goes on - One of the best if not the best hostel I have ever stayed at.

Disliked: I could not fault the venue, its facilities or its employees.

Liked: Location, friendly staff

Disliked: broken lockers, randomer slept in my bed before getting there which means it's not that secure, having to be charged for everything, plus no left luggage room (only have a small locker which you have to pay $7 for) is a massive negative.

Liked: Air conditioning on 42+ deg days! Thank goodness as I was melting. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Only one lift working at the time, but I guess things breakdown and take time to repair so was no big issue.
