Overview
Billabong Gardens is a boutique hostel and hotel with top facilities located in groovy Newtown, the hippest part of Sydney just south of Central Station.
You want to stay in the REAL Sydney, right? Well then come to Newtown - not another tourist trap but Sydney's grooviest inner-city area. Directly south of Central Station, Newtown is the throbbing heartland of bohemian Sydney. With Sydney University just around the corner and various other colleges, venues and galleries, Newtown is home to the greatest collection of students, musicians and artists in Australia. Billabong Gardens is located in the middle of all the action quietly tucked away in a side street just 50 meters of King Street, Sydney's epicenter of cafes, restaurants, pubs, cheap eats, funky nightlife and live music venues!
At Billabong Gardens we pride ourselves on quality service and our hostel is very clean and extremely safe. Our facilities match those of the new mega hostels but we add the intimate atmosphere and personal touch of a small boutique backpackers that really cares about you!. Also many of our facilities are free and fully included in the price. You can surf the internet for FREE on one of our modern broadband terminals or even with your own laptop on our WIRELESS WIFI network. Watch an in-house movie or have a dip in our pool, lounge in the sun in our tropical courtyard or cook up a storm in our fully equipped kitchen. Parking is available in our secure lock up garage for a small additional fee and we offer FREE secure luggage storage if you accumulated too much luggage during your travels around OZ.
Our dorms are comfortable fan cooled 5-6 bed rooms, most with ensuite bathrooms. We always have great weekly rates and winter guests enjoy very competitive long term rates. We have an extensive job search board and we are always home to many long term working travellers. Private rooms are available in many configurations, with and without private bathroom.
