Liked: Friendly staff. They were very helpful and approachable. It was a great place to meet other backpackers. My only complaint would be that the bathrooms needed better ventilation.

Liked: perfect location in CBD Sydney, near China Townunfortunately pretty loud and sometimes hard to find sleep

Liked: The hostel is very well located!! You can really go walking to Darling Harbour and the Central station which has the subway to the airport and other places in Sydney is just 2 blocks away! The kitchen is very good and the staff very friendly!

Liked: Really love this place. Nice big rooms and large kitchen. Not much noise on a night, you can get a good nights sleep.

Liked: The place was really secure with key card access to everything so it was really good. The staff were pretty welcoming and chatty which is always good. Overall nice central location (not too far to walk to the main places) so it was perfect for New Years!

Liked: Staff were overly helpful and the rooms/facilities were pretty good. Did not have a particularly great atmosphere and they didn't offer a lot of the bonding activities (eg film nights etc) other hostels do so it was hard to mix in such a large hostel

Liked: We had a private double room which was way overpriced considering there was just a bed and a locker. The locker was the best thing about the whole place. The kitchen was not nearly big enough when the hostel was full which it was - we could barely get near the cooking facilities. It was quite a noisy hostel, lots of banging doors etc. The internet was not good so if you haven't got a laptop, you had to go out to an internet cafe. There were not enough toilets and showers considering the number of people staying there. It's OK for one night but I would not like to stay there long term

Liked: Not much good to say about my night there. The hall and bedroom constantly smelled of cigarettes, to the point that I believe this may be a hostel that allows people to smoke in the common rooms...? The bathroom door on my level squeaked really loudly whenever someone went in or out - luckily my room was on the opposite side of the floor but I could still hear it loudly. I would hate to think what the poor people in the rooms around it had to put up with. Staff member that checked me in was completely unhelpful. No advice or info given; she didn't even tell me how to get to my room.
